I scrolled through YouTube and was able to find some rough video of Zach. I am not worried in the least after watching it. Not because I am looking for the good in everything, but simply because his mistakes are rookie mistakes when the game is moving fast. He needs practice and time for the game to slow down for him. He will get much more of that in the weeks leading into the season. Let's also not forget that he is going up against, what many believe, to be a top 10 defensive front 7 this year. He's not lining up against some shit ass defensive line and linebackers that have no idea what they are doing. He is facing pressure from guys like Carl Lawson and throwing into backfield with the likes of CJ Mosley running around. All after practicing for one week in the NFL. There is a time and place to panic and think negatively. This ain't it. I was dead wrong about Darnold. I will be the first to admit that and maybe I am wrong again about Wilson, but panicking after that scrimmage is not logical. Not at all.
Exactly man. Hopefully one day our fan base will understand that all rookies throw INT's (especially during practices) and I can't think of 10 Rookie QBs All-Time (ever) who haven't tossed at least 10 Rookie INTs during real games either. • Tom Brady threw 12 INTs as a 2nd year player during his 1st year starting. • Josh Allen = 12 rookie INTs. • Joe Montana = 12 INTs during his 3rd year as a full-time 1st year starter. • Troy Aikman = 18 Rookie INTs only 11 starts. • Ben Roethlisberger = 11 rookie INTs. • Aaron Rodgers = 13 INTS as a 4th year player but 1st year starter. • Our kid Joe Namath = 15 Rookie INTs. And I wonder how many PRACTICE INT's did those sucky QBs toss as rookies in practice? PS: Rest in Heaven to our FSU legendary-legend of a head coach but an even better man of a person Bobby Bowden I can't watch anymore of ESPN today it's making me sad I just hope to God our 2021 FSU players not only play with their hearts on their sleeves for him but more importantly finally stay out of trouble off the field for him; because that'll be an awesome contribute to our coach Bobby Bowden
Some of you who are making a "big deal" about Zach Wilson throwing Rookie Practice INTs? Remind me of this video below (because it's the first thing that came to mind while reading these hot take practice meltdowns around here)... Practice INTs!
It's a sad day not just for Nole Nation but also for college football as a whole. A legend. Made me feel sick seeing the news update. I knew it was coming after him saying he had a terminal illness but it still hit hard seeing it. #ripcoachbowden
I'm relaxed and happy. I watched as much video as I could from the Green and White practice to get a glimpse of our new young team in action at Met Life for the first time. There were ups and downs as in any practice. The defense was ahead of the offense as you would expect. Making specific observations and drawing conclusions on a player at this point, or worst panicking is crazy in my view. I would like to point out that if the offense was destroying the defense excuses would abound regarding the quality of the defense, panicking about our young CB, this and that would have been a sack, etc., etc., etc. Fact is when you play against yourself one side will prevail and look better, so there is no win win. Wilson was the first to admit he was not pleased with his performance, although even when he is struggling you see awesome flashes of greatness, something I'm not accustom of seeing. The only conclusion IMO is that there will be plenty more of these ups and downs in the near term. I fully expect that. Drawing any kind of a conclusion about the long term success of our QB and team for that matter is nonsensical at this point. People have the right to be skeptical if they want to, history is on their side, but I'm not buying into the panic as usual mode. That's insanity. What I did notice, however, is that the level of energy, unity, organization, play calling and coaching is far, far better at this point across the board than ever before. That is one jewel we can bank on moving forward.
Is there anyone that was there who can give details about the scrimmage. Not just for Zach, but for the scrimmage overall. Did anyone stand out, etc?
I wasn't there but my boy Elijah Moore not only stood out but absolutely FEASTED again. And from all the reports I've read our entire Defense was playing super fast and getting after the QB. Michael Carter RB also balled out too.
At this stage in Zach's career I'd rather he be making a ton of mistakes--then I know the shit is real. If he's sailing through it means they're not preparing him properly.
Who are you dude? And where did you come from?!?!? I just realized you just joined TGG yesterday and this video was absolutely disgusting it's SICK!!!! Thnx you. Welcome to THEGANGGREEN!
Appreciate it man. I’m just a guy who loves the Jets lol. But really appreciate the positive feedback
I’m just a Jets fan, and a New York sports fan in general, that makes sports video content in my free time. It’s just a hobby.
I see you love the KNICKS too! You should visit UltimateKnicks.com they have a forum of over 20 years and it's awesome a very tight Knicks community I've been a member since 2012 over there I don't post as often as I do about my Jets but they'd absolutely love you over there man.
I really enjoy making these videos. A lot of hype videos are just highlights, I try making mine more like trying to tell a story, make people feel the emotion of the teams they love. Really appreciate it!
