I'd like to see links to those threads. To my memory only one or two guys were drinking the kool aid before the season started and I wasn't one of them. Six guys seems like a lot.
Before the season started? I'm pretty sure I said 10-6 was possible, but I wasn't sure if that would get us into the playoffs. My win total prediction came through, and I thought playoffs from weeks ago.
^ Well, it's in my signature. It's good to see that a bunch of us had gut feelings that the Jets would make me the playoffs. No hate towards those who didn't see this coming, but it's nice to give some recognition to those who felt the Jets would get into the playoffs. I'll admit, if someone can find the thread I can verify, but I don't think I predicted to the Jets to have a 10-6 record. Maybe I did? I'm not 100% sure.
Uhm a Jets fan made it public when he joined. The Future had it in his sig forever. I was calling it all offseason and it's in my sig (It's been 38 yrs, our time is now). The others all predicted it in the AFCE prediction thread over in the Crystal Ball forum.
dude, nobody but the team deserves any recognition. there will be someone that says "were goin to the superbowl this year" and one year it will come true. should that guy get recognized as a prognosticator? no....anyone can say something, just because it ends up that way doesnt make you that much smarter. i told my friends the jets would win 11 games this year....and got laughed at. i was one off, but i feel no need to bask in my own words. i deserve no recognition for believing in my team...and neither do those 6 ppl, including you.
I have to admit ... I didnt think we'd win more than 8 games. I am pleasantly surprised by this team and the future looks bright with Mangini at the helm!!!
Your getting in TOO deep Kowie :lol: It's all in good fun. There are some people out there that had a feeling that the Jets wouldn't make the playoffs, and gave reasons why. Some people, including myself, said we would make the playoffs, and gave reasons why. Like I said, it's all in good fun. I don't see why you got so defensive, no real need for it.
Before the season I was hoping for easy rebuilding, but after that first game I was sure that the Jets had a shot at the playoffs.
