Okay folks. I am an eternal optimist but not delusional. I don't claim to know football like most of you but I have also been going to Jets practices for a long time. This team is different. These players and coaching staff are different. We got the pieces in players. Offensive Line is HUUUUUGEEEE. They are nasty. They are killers. Defensive Line is big. They are relentless. Loved Lawson. Loved the pass rush today. Finally we have a Wide Receiving Corps that includes play makers. Elijah my boy. He is epic seems to be right out of the Holy Bible. Now, defense. This is Saleh's specialty. Defensive Line is our strength. Secondary can be our Achilles Heel but we got the coaches to bring out the best of the DB's. I am putting my neck out early. But I believe in this team. This is a new era. New regime, new players, new QB. With 7 teams making the playoffs, I don't see 7 teams better than the Jets in AFC. We got this folks. We are heading to the playoffs after 10 years! Enjoy it, Cherish it. We will pain the town in Green soon! Jets baby!
As always, I love your passion Brook, whether positive or negative, you don't hold back! Making the playoffs would be great, but I just want to see a competitive team that can put up points. I'd love to see them score 30-40 points a game even if they lose. When you have an offense that explosive, you're always in a game. That said, I'd also love to have a "D" that's stingy - why not be greedy if we're wishing! I haven't seen anything more than the short clips and eyewitness accounts, but I think this team is VERY different that last year's model, and I'm looking forward to the season like I haven't in years.
I would love to say we're gonna be a real threat. I do think the team has the most talent it's had since 2015, but it is a very young team, and it will take time. I think the team will win a decent amount of games to not draft in the top 8, but I'm not gonna go all Brooke with my playoff shit . But hey... Never know.. You never know.
I totally understand NYJATW. I wish you were there with me today. This was my impression after I left the practice this afternoon. But totally get the skepticism and "show me" prerequisite. This team is really different CC. If our rookie coaches don't make big mistakes, we should be in every freaking game. I am aware of our issues at Defensive Back unit. But we got the coaches on paper with great resumes. Future is bright. Finally I am feeling it.
I really wanna go to the Jets Packers preseason game, but I'll be in Milwaukee for work, so I can't make it, but I'm really excited to see how the joint practices, and that game go.
I love the optimism Brook! the fact of the matter is, there’s always a team that breaks out and makes the playoffs out of nowhere. Could that be the Jets this year?? Maybe, it’ll all depend on Zach IMO. If he has a great year, I could totally see us in the hunt come playoff time. I’m not counting on playoffs this year but I would love to be proven wrong!
Breaking News: I did not make this thread! Seriously though, glad practice left a great impression on you, @Brook!. I would love nothing more than this team making a run in 2021. Yeah, we have watched too many disappointing seasons to set ourselves up for disappointment by being excited or expecting success. Still, the team is headed in the right direction. Can't wait to see them in game action!

This team has let us all down way too many times to act like most of us aren't beyond fucked up mentally with this team. You just can't let your guard down with this organization. IF they can run the ball Consistently all season with this O-line which I think it’s possible the jets could be in the conversation come December … I won’t say playoffs till after we’ve seen a few games in September …. This does feel Different brooks love your enthusiasm brother
