My other choice was going to be...

    Unceasingly.

It was a tough choice today tbh.

Talk about the Jets? I cannot believe you are still seriously trying to tell someone else what they should be posting. The point of a message board is to allow you to show your excitement and fantasy for your hopes and wishes based coming season while at the same time allowing those with an outlook more rooted in history and reality to share theirs. Please review the last few days of messages in this thread to count how many times I have stated it is more than allowable for you to get excited about anything you wish. Your "other posts all Jets related points in there" (huh?) may be of supreme interest and pride to you; that does not mean they are to everyone, or anyone else. Try to understand for once that no one here is under any obligation to humor you by engaging with anything you post.

No! "Basically," I have never said that you cannot post questions to anyone, in fact I have stated the opposite many times. You can even call me "negative" while I see it as realistic, based once again, on five or six decades of experience as a Jets fan.

If there is a reason why understanding this is problematic for you, I'm sorry; so maybe we should instead focus on the more specific expectations we have for the coming season. When we know more about what Jets quarterbacks will be on the roster and who will be capable of being on the field on opening day might be the right time. That's why I prefer to "wait and see" for now; after all, we have three and a half months to go before the first game.

Hi. What is the name of this message board? The Gang Green. I know you're a smart bird, so you know what that means. People come here to talk about the Jets! What a concept! A message board about the NY Jets where fans of the NY Jets can converse about the NY Jets. Even the name of this area in the forum is called the New York Jets.

Everything else after your first 2 sentences invalidates the rest of your post & not worth reading. I mean, we can go back and forth, but it most likely won't end well since you already have shown to get upset about someone calling you Buttbird on a message board. Now you're flying around pecking at me with that angry beak of yours and still yapping at me for trying to have a conversation with you about the J-E-T-S.

If you don't want to have a conversation about the Jets in the Jets area of the forum, then tell me where you live and I'll sit on your couch light up a joint and we can just chill while calmly talking about the Jets where you feel more comfortable expressing your opinions about the team. Otherwise, I'm not quite sure if you would like to continue this conversation but it is entertaining for the masses. Whatever...I can keep going if you like. At least have a point about the Jets in your post if we're going to continue this discussion. Yes, I know the previous sentence is disturbing to you, but it's either talk about the Jets in a Jets forum or me calling you Buttbird which you hate.

Your silly name calling is quite indicative of someone stuck in an early stage of development; again I apologize if you have a real disability rather than just playing that part.. Go play in the street, Sonny. Even at two AM I have better things to do.

See, you still can't bring yourself to talk about the Jets.

    I win. :)

Yep. I think the transformation of the this team will happen faster than people expect too, as long as they click in 2021 and make progress. If so, you then add a couple pieces in free agency, plus your 2 1st round picks and 2 2nd round picks, and you enter the 2022 season a completely different team and likely a formidable one at that.

I totally agree. I don't think this team is as devoid of talent as the media will have you believe. We have some very good players. Our biggest weakness the last bunch of years has been coaching and QB play. I find it hard to believe that Saleh and staff won't be an improvement over Gase and Co. And you really can't get any worse than the worst rated passer for the past 3 years, can you?

For those who thought we should have traded down, built up the rest of the team, and not taken a QB this year, Herm Edwards disagrees:

Add Harrison Glaser to the list of nobodies who are convinced before ever seeing the guy on an NFL field. Cue the "Happy Days are Here Again" campaign song.

I would note that Herm Edwards said absolutely nothing about any particular quarterback drafted by any particular team in any particular season.

That's Herm's specialty. Dramatically saying nothing.

So, this Glaser character posts an undated misquote from Edwards that says nothing about the draft, the Jets or their quarterbacks and adds his own two cents claiming the Jets finally have "the quarterback" which leads NC to characterize the Tweet as Edwards referring to this year's draft and confirming NC's personal viewpoint that the Jets should not have traded down.

Of course, those 280 characters don't tell the whole story but they do allow the tone of the comments to be slanted in any way the Tweeter or reposters of the Tweet want them to. Here's an article from just a couple of days ago that includes a very similar quote that is about the Jets and Wilson that shows much more of the story and concludes with Edwards saying that he (Wilson) can seemingly make any kind of throw, but if his success and swagger can translate to the next level remains to be seen.

Former Jets coach Herm Edwards talks Robert Saleh's first season: 'If you got a quarterback, you got a chance' - CBSSports.com

Maybe we should avoid leaping to conclusions and creating false scenarios and just wait and see.

Now I know you are entitled to your own free speech etc but do you have to be a miserable **** and post downer stuff at every feel good news story?
You're gonna be a busy lad all the way to September with that modus operandi ;)

Yeah, the key is definitely Zach Wilson. If he is as good as Joe Douglas thinks, then that could make the Jets better at an even faster rate. Just depends how fast he can develop. If he can have that second year jump, I think the 2022 Jets will be really good. Of course, we have to see how he looks in 2021 first. The plan is in place though and I think it is a good one.

I agree that it's nothing new or profound, but evidently it is to a number of posters here who didn't think getting a QB was important, and thought it best to build the team first and then worry about the QB.

Obviously it would be ideal to build a great roster like the Chiefs did, have a great Head Coach, have a great mentor QB in Alex Smith, let the rookie sit and learn for a year, and then let him roll in Year 2. That is a blueprint that is not easy or realistic to copy at all. I get the posters who felt that way, but if you find the right QB, you draft him. Douglas and Saleh liked Wilson, and it was a slam dunk decision to me.

Maybe in 15-20 years when Zach retires with several SB wins, and Saleh, JD, and the team are still going strong, they'll get their wish. We'll have a great HC, a great team, and then JD will just need to find the QB in the draft, and we can repeat the fun.
