I don't recall all the particulars but he pretended to have a serious illness gaining attention and sympathy for quite a long time. Eventually, things did not add up, and some people did some detective work and found out he was making it all up. He was a very prolific poster that used to tell some wild personal stories. I don't recall if he was banned or just left in shame. I think it was the former. Again my memory is not great but it was a pretty big scandal. Some older posters I am sure could provide a lot more detail.
