May 5, 11:02 a.m. Jamien Sherwood, the safety/linebacker out of Auburn, has become the first 2021 pick in the NFL to sign with their new team. The slotted value for the fifth-round pick is four years at $3.8 million with a $350,000 signing bonus. They must think a lot of this guy to sign him to a 4 year deal.
Good for him, get the money issue settled so it’s not a distraction. Now he can focus on his career. Not sure if you guys have done a lot of research on him, I read an article and it mentioned that if he stayed for senior year and stayed healthy, he was considered a late first round or early second round pick next year. That’s a lot of potential waiting to be developed.
JD said day 3 is what makes a good draft great...and then he went out and had a great draft. All these day 3 guys have a chance to make the roster and contribute. I'm really looking forward to pre season this year.

Depending on what the call was, either I was in the middle of the field or I was a rolling-down safety in the flat area. Some calls, I’m a stretch half or just a half-field player or in the thirds. On third downs, that’s when I actually do move down to the weakside linebacker, and I get my chances to blitz, go make plays in the backfield, shed blocks and tackles and just be a ballplayer.” I'd be interested to see his college stats on 3rd down and how they compare to other weak side LB in the draft.
Honestly Jamal Adams would have been the perfect player to do this conversion to WLB, he would have been an animal. If he wasn't such a narcissistic schmuck.
well so far he's turned into AVT plus whoever we draft next year with the pick. if AVT turns out to be the next nelson, faneca, schreff etc it's already a win
Thats why Mac is gone you don't use #5 pick on a box safety you use a 5th round pick on a box safety.
