I think it follows the values well and the players picked, the only thing is you seem to have more "power" with trades then IRL but overall it's pretty solid
I couldn't possibly disagree more. It gets the wrong needs for the Jets and the wrong priorities for their needs. Its rating of players is screwy, and the basic premise of that game is to make a gazillion trades in order to get a top score or take players that don't really fit the team's needs or scheme. It's whole premise is going what it considers BPA. It ignores differences in blocking schemes, defensive schemes, and one cannot do that and be anywhere near reality. I think it's the worst of the 5-6 mock draft simulators out there.
sure you can do that. but you can also play it realistically like any game and ignore the "needs" they list. who cares about their point total. the point is to draft players for the jets which can be done realistically and see what you get
Yes, one can do that, but their player rankins are still way off on many players. IMO PFN, the draftnetwork, and fanspeak.com are ALL better.
player rankings will change a ton for everyone over the course of the year. thats pretty par for the course
And that is crazy! Anyone who knew draft prospects knew that he was the top OG in the draft and most likely going in the top 15 picks. So to give a team B for drafting him at any point is ridiculous. That's why ultimately, I don't really like any of the draft simulators. I do them and do what I think the Jets need to do, to see how many of the players I like and positions of need filled, but I just ignore their grades.
He was a day 2 prospect until 3 weeks before the draft and could be had closer to the third round OT Radnuz could also be got in the third round. Conversely, not one single person on this site that played either game selected any of the Jets 5th round onwards picks and tbh I can't even say I saw their names to choose from lol
Did a 2022 simulation and got this. 6. Derek Stingley Jr CB LSU 8. Zach Harrison Edge Ohio State 60. Jake Ferguson TE Wisconsin 70. Edefuan Ulofoshio LB Washington 113. Warren McClendon OT Georgia 138. Damone Clark LB LSU 148. Nolan Smith Edge Georgia 170. Sheridan Jones CB Clemson 189. Cade York K LSU 194. Noah Taylor LB Virginia Getting the top CB and a top 5 Edge prospect two picks apart was too good to pass up on.
Start a new thread up in drafts with the game, so we can all start posting drafts lol Edit, it already was in draft forum lol I just followed it from the flag link

Second attempt at 2022 (traded away some of our future picks, 3rd, 6th & 7th I think): 23 Zach Harrison EDGE Ohio State (took 14th first time) 43 Ventrell Miller LB Florida 47 Ikem Ekwonu OG North Carolina State (took 38th first time) 59 Josh Jobe CB Alabama 61 Cade Otton TE Washington 71 Carson Strong QB Nevada 88 Zion Johnson OG Boston College 113 Zion Tupuola-Fetui EDGE Washington 135 Adam Anderson EDGE Georgia 155 Zamir White RB Georgia (took 177 first time) 179 Noah Cain RB Penn State 193 Chandler Jones CB Louisville 219 Marcel Brooks S TCU 2023 WAS 1st 2023 NO 2nd 2023 WAS 2nd 2023 PIT 2nd 2023 KC 3rd 2023 ARI 3rd 2023 NYG 3rd 2023 JAX 5th
I tried to go realistic and yeah it's early on but I really like how this one turned out I traded down from 4 to 10 for some extra picks including a 1st rounder from carolina in 2023 and was still able to get the 2nd best CB in the draft in booth who would fit our defense perfectly. I then traded up from 24 to 22 to grab zach harrison for our future edge rush needs. JFM is a FA after this year and lawson will be coming off an ACL injury and shaq lawson is on a 1 year rental most likely. we need some youth and depth and good edge rushers seem to be exclusively top draft picks more-so then any other position. we invested a lot in offense so I feel the top 2 picks if it can fall this way should be on defense With our 2 2nd rounders (ours and carolina form the darnold trade) I stayed put and shored up the o-line grabbing charles cross and lecitus smith. Cross can be a perfect RT for us, athletic to fit our scheme since fant will be expensive and moses is a 1 year rental. He can be our future RT even if he sits a year behind fant or moses next year depending what JD does. Smith is perfect for our system, a former TE moved to guard is very athletic and can start at RG to replace GVR. That would mean we have an all new young o-line outside of C but mcgovern will be here for a few years and is good so i'm not concerned. in the 3rd round I wound up with 2 picks, got an extra from the trade down and grabbed i started with S brandon joseph. we need safety help. maye is a FA and hasn't been able to work out a deal. davis is a question mark, joyner is a 1 year rental. Joseph is smart and athletic and made some great INTs in his career so far. should fit in perfect in our defense. Then I grabbed Jarrett patterson an athletic OC to back up mcgovern and replace feeny and be a starting OC for us at some point. can't have too much depth on the o-line and a great system fit and value in the 3rd. for the rest of the picks I grabbed TE ruckert an athletic receiving TE, S jason catalon for depth at safety, RB CJ verdall who reminds me of MJD and fits the system well and could have a big roll splitting caries with carter and ty johnson. and finsihed it off with gadget WR calvin austin who is tiny but fast and shift and can rac up YAC in our offense.
3. Derek Stingley Jr CB LSU 25. Zach Harrison Edge Ohio State 35. John Metchie III WR Alabama 63. Breece Hall RB Iowa State 67. Jake Ferguson TE Wisconsin 92. Edefuan Ulofoshio LB Washington 117. Henry To'o To'O LB Alabama 145. Marquis Hayes OG Oklahoma Additional Picks: 2023 Cleveland 2nd 2023 TB 4th
4. George Karlaftis Edge Purdue 16. Tyler Linderbaum OC Iowa 35. Jalen Wydermyder TE Texas A&M 52. Own Pappoe LB Auburn 71. CJ Verdell RB Oregon 113. Sterling Weatherford S Miami-OH 125. Jeffrey Gunter Edge Coastal Carolina 147. Brandon Smith LB Penn State 153. Daniel Faalele OT Minnesota 206. Sheridan Jones CB Clemson
still way too early but this is my latest. I traded down with the 2nd 1st rounder a couple of times for more picks in the 2nd and for future picks (got a 2nd and 2 3rds for the 2023 draft plus what you see below) Draft was very top heavy with 11 picks all in the 1st 4 rounds In the 1st I grabbed the top edge (hutchinson) then traded down a few times and took the best RT on the board (didn't take the best OG because the 2nd round is stacked with them) in the 2nd I wound up with 5 picks. We had 2 going in and I got an extra 3 with the trade downs. I started with wydermeyer at TE. TE is a huge hole for us. i'd bring back kroft and keep yeboah around on the PS but we need 2 TEs and wydermeyer is the best one in the draft. then i grabbed the top RG to replace GVR and battle LDT for the starting spot adding depth to the o-line and eventual replacements. after that it was time to go defense. I took harrison who I think can be a steal in the 2nd for the value. that's 2 edge rushers and when added to JFM, lawson returning, and huff should make a good pass rush rotation. I added LBers brandon smith and pappoe both fast guys who fit our system. I figure mosley is here another year but gone in 2023, sherwood will be here in year 2, I think quincy sticks around he deserves it. that means we'll have 5 LBers and davis and cashman can be gone. that'll give us more depth at Lber and 2 eventual starters since nickel defense is run mostly. those 2 should be our starting LBers in 2023 and beyond. in the 3rd i grabbed the top safety available in o-neal. it's possibly maye and joyner are gone. i think we keep riley/ he's been a suprise for us and a great recent pick up. davis is solid right now with potential to be better. we do need more safeties though. With our 2nd 3rd rounder I grabbed another TE in ferguson. again our TEs are bad, taking 2 makes sense. him and wydermeyer plus kroft and yeboah will make a solid TE group finally with my last 2 picks boh in the 4th I took verdall who I think is a great compliment to go with carter at RB and austin III as a slot WR to replace crowder/cole.
