Cannot wait to see this guy in action. I mean 97% of catchable balls, this is insane. Historically high ypg, leader in receptions, top 5 speed. I am thinking if things go our way, the offense can transform from the absolute worst in last two years to top 3d. Can't wait!
He apologized to his teammates. He immediately realized what a dumb mistake that was. He was asked about that by teams in interviews. He promised to never do something dumb like that again.
I initially wanted to go OL again and snag Jenkins at 34, but the more I learn about this Moore kid, the more I like the selection, cval.
I'd be surprised if JD cuts Crowder. I could see him trading Crowder, but not cutting him and getting nothing for him except some cap space.
I agree mrjet80. I would LOVE to get back to the days when we had a top 3 at the WR position like: Toon, Walker and Jo-Jo Townsell! haha....
Don’t forget Kurt Sohn and Mickey Shuler hauling in chunks of yardage ..... the Jets could put up huge numbers in those days.
haha you always one-up me on your mid 80's Jets knowledge, Mr.Jet!! well-done! I remember Shuler, but I had forgotten about Sohn! btw, did you know that in 1985, the Jets basically had a Top 5 Offense AND a Top 5 Defense in the NFL?! they basically had an elite team that year! per profootballreference, on offense they ranked 7th in points scored and 4th in yardage....and on defense, they ranked 3rd in points allowed and 8th in yardage allowed. That was a damn good team!!!
I really like the balance of having Mims as a larger target and then Moore on the other side--similar to how the Panthers had Steve Smith and Muhsin Muhammed. Than we bump Corey Davis inside as a physical Ricky Proehl type of receiver based on his style. I don't think we should trade Crowder this year--there's always an injury or two and we need a good 4. Davis, Mims, Moore, Crowder with Keelan Cole as the predominant deep threat. Moore could also be used in the backfield and then you have no dropoff in recivers--no brainer to keep all of them.
Yes it was and somehow they showed up flat in the playoffs against NE that year......very sad I felt they were the best team in the AFC.
yeah so weird that New England made the Super Bowl that year....like you said, Jets showed up flat at home in the playoffs against them, then they barely scarped by a good but not great Raiders team, and then Marino, Shula and the Dolphins laid an egg at home, in the rain, against them.
