I think your missing the main point. Say the options were mahomes and trubisky knowing what we know now. would you stay at 2 and take mahomes or trade back and take trubisky? we have no QB right now. we can't take the risk of not drafting the guy we like. it's not worth the extra picks. we can trade down at 23 for more picks and even trade down 34. we can get 6 picks total in rounds 2 and 3 realistically by trading down at 23 and 34 and trading up with our 4th rounder.
I hear you GC. I hope we trade down from #23 and secure another 1st rounder next year. With a full college season on tap for next year, I expect much better prospects in next years draft.
it's always tough to tell. a 1st this year is worth more then a 1st next year. if we made that trade it would have to include a 2nd this year as well which would be fine by me. basically trade down from the end of the 1st to mid 2nd and get a future 1st for it
Someone said it in the forum couple days ago... The first player to be on the NFL Draft stage in 2 years will be a New York Jet
What time is it due to start? I got a 1am time for the UK but will they waffle on for an hour before hand? Or is it 1am actually Jags on the clock? I am up at 3:30am for work lol
8 AM Eastern means 1 AM UK time. At 8 Goodell will be booed, and than Jags will pick at last minute to prolong the suspension. Jags pick should be in around 8:13 Eastern. Sleep now. Wake up in two and a half hours.
Although I think Wilson is the better QB I will be rooting for Justin Field's wherever he lands (unless he lands with the Pats) as Fields just seems like a good guy with great character. I like that he fought for his team and the big ten to play this fall and that Field's cares about animal suffering and climate control and is not only a vegan but he has converted his entire family, a number of OSU coaches and many players on the OSU team into becoming vegans. I hope he lands in a good spot and has a solid career.
That was the plan, grab a quick couple of hours set alarm for our selection, cry and then return to sleep
Just let JD get boring picks after selecting the QB by picking OLs and CBs with the next 3-4 picks. Set the foundation. still get a RB in 2nd 3rd round or 4th rounder. Jackson and Hall were two lowest rated CBS last year defending vs passes. Sets up nicely for next year to get more explosive players, WRs, DEs, LBs....
We need to keep trading down while acquiring future 1st rounders. We should do this until we have a 1 from every team in the league....in the SAME DRAFT! Then we will be set to pick a QB in the following draft
My top 6 if there are no trades. Pretty much the same top 6 I've had for a while. Since Detroit is clueless I'm not even going there. 1.Lawrence 2.Wilson 3.Jones 4.Pitts 5.Chase 6.Waddle
Uh yeah, no offense but that's not happening. Miami didn't trade from 12 to 6 to take a OT. They could have gotten a great one at 12. Since I live down in South Florida, I hear Waddle. He's a TD machine and that's why you take him over Sewell. Miami can go OT at 18 if they want but you're not getting a superstar WR like Waddle there.
