I love Middle Eastern food. Indian food, too, especially the more off the beaten track stuff that aren't the usual stock fare we all kind of know. A good barometer in NYC - IF WE'RE EVER ALLOWED TO EAT IN RESTAURANTS AGAIN - is to go in blind. Peer in the window, or just walk in from street and pretend to check out the menu. If 99.9% of the people seated in there are Indian, it's a sure bet. The other .1% is me, the token white girl.

Not as many restaurants but there's one Pakistani restaurant that doesn't serve alcohol because most of the clientele don't drink it
That's the place to go for the best curry

 

Finally got to try the new German Donner Kebab restaurant over here in Blackburn
And possibly the best kebab I've ever had but should be for the price...
Mixed Donner and chicken meat with spicy fries,chilly cheese bites and choice of 3 sauces
Delicious

 

What is it about a giant, revolving pillar of meat that just says "eat me"?

I ate haggis, twice, when I went to Scotland. I was drunk both times but then again I was drunk for most of that trip.
