Hi all - grew up in Brooklyn and have been a fan since the late 60's. I remember the first game I attended at Shea Stadium in 1971. I remember how disappointed I was that Namath was injured and Bob Davis got the start. I remember he played well and we beat the Bills. Have been disappointed pretty much every year since then with a few exceptions.
I'll definitely stay as I bleed Jet green, I will admit though that all of this analytical mumbo jumbo I read about is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over my head.
Hello everyone! I've been reading and enjoying this board for years, but now seemed like a good time to join. Hopefully, we are on the cusp of bigger and better things. I was born in '68, so the first Super Bowl I was alive for was a Jets victory. Been suffering ever since, as you all well know. I grew up on Long Island, and the Jets were the only team I ever really cared about. I've been living down South for a long time now, but I will always remain loyal to the Green. Most of my family, and other emotional ties I had to NY, are long gone. The Jets are the last of my roots. I'd love to see them win one more during my lifetime. Go Jets!
