I think Douglas handled this decision as well as it probably could have been handled. He's checking himself and his own biases, or at least is trying to to some extent, although as part of the interviewing process with Saleh, the QB position and the traits they were looking for were probably discussed, and that probably had some bearing on Saleh's being hired. I think the right decision will be made. I am confident. It's sad that some are so jaded, cynical, negative, and pessimistic.
Looks like there’s a UMass sign in the background so maybe just pandering to the local crowd? LOL who knows...really doesn’t bother me though, just funny because of course the Jets guy has a picture like this out there.
Any other team’s hat it doesnt bother me.This is different. And the fact he was in Amherst wearing it only makes it worse.
Next thing you know Legler will find pictures of Zach Wilson underwear to make his case for Justin Fields.
LOL I hear ya...I used to be like this until the last few years. Maybe the Jets complete ineptitude took something out of me, but I just don’t care as much anymore.
I have not claimed that OSU CURRENTLY runs a system that doesn't resemble an NFL offense. I haven't claimed OSU QBs CURRENTLY do the opposite of what will be asked of them In the NFL. There WAS valid reasons for why OSU QBs have been unsuccessful In the NFL. Not, currently. ..and by currently, I mean, since Ryan Day took over as HC. This Is the first time In OSU history where QB play Is an actual emphasis for winning games. Which Is reflected through recent recruiting at the position as well. Haskins didn't pan out and I didn't think he would be good In the NFL. He put the QB position on the map though for OSU by being the first QB taken In the first round In three or four decades. Haskins was much better at the position than we've had and It showed. Justin Fields Is much better though. He Is NFL capable and I fully believe It'll show. Please don't put words In my mouth. Thanks.
because it was more efficient, a couple of nice throws but overall not impressive. He looked good, not great. and his flags really show as well a few times
You might be projecting your desire to see Zachary in his undergarments. I’m not going to indulge you.
Ill find a way to support him because this is the team i love. But just because we get an inside look at the dynamics of how the decision came to be doesnt justify it.Nor does it make it immune to criticism. Its sad that some are so arrogant in their position & so desperate for success that the expectation is 100% unquestioned, blind support & hyperbole. All naysayers will be chastized as debbie downers & transported to leper colonies!
No one mentioned it because it wasn't the case. But to give such accuracy: 30% rotator cuff tear having no info at all on any rotator cuff tear is remarkable. Perhaps just as remarkable as claiming it is a major risk to draft him since someone called him Mormon Manziel.
the issue is the competition thing is blown out of proportion. you make it sound like wilson had all day to throw and threw to wide open randy moss-eque WRs. wilson was making nfl throws, decisions, reads, to covered players with confidence. He looked like a field general on film. things were not coming easy to him but he was making it work. that's the important part. it doens't matter if a defense is top 5 or bottom 5, a covered WR is a covered WR regardless
