Wilson is currently -2000 to be picked #2. That implies a 95.2% probability that it's going to happen. What word would you use to describe believing Wilson won't be the pick?
I don't know sir. But I am sure there is a better word for it, no? I come in peace. Draft will come and go. We will all be in front of TV or at Metlife(me) cheering for the team. You and a Fields supporter will feel the same pain when/if Jets lose a game. I just wanted to point that out more than anything.
I think Wilson can be a solid pro. In fact, I would bet on it because I feel JD will make sure he’s is put in the best situation possible. That said, we are drafting #2 overall. So my standards are high. I looking for a potential star on the field not tabloids. If I saw this Mahomes/Rodgers thing that many are propagating I’d be on board too but unfortunately I don’t. A lot of the off platform 50/50 balls shit so many are in love with look like potential INTs to me like it did with Darnold. If he’s the pick, no one will be praying to be more wrong than yours truly.
Its not that hes bad. I think hes good.1st round worthy. Ive maintained that from day 1. Just not elite & purely boom/bust. He has a ton of legit red flags that we shouldnt be skimming over or finding any possible reason to rationalize. IMO his talent level as a prospect doesnt offset or justify the number of red flags to warrant a #2 overall pick. Worst case, hes always injured or NFL defenses figure him out the way college teams mightve if he stayed for another year. Best case,IMO hes a top 15 QB. W where this team is at & has been..the end doesnt justify the means
Bucky does a great job expressing my position here: https://www.nfl.com/videos/move-the-sticks-comparing-justin-fields-zach-wilson
I didn't realise you were into those type of mags, good to see you're comfortable with us to share it though. Respect that.
Wow that was pretty bad. You actually thought about writing this and followed through with it anyway.
Am I allowed to mock Bucky given how wrong he's been about QB prospects the last several years or is that exclusively reserved for Simms?
If i order a grilled cheese sandwich in London,is it coming slathered up in Mayo or other offputting condiments?
I wouldn't put any on a grilled cheese sandwich tbh ps I don't know what Londoners would put on theirs, I have only been there three times one a school trip and two visits to Wembley to see the mighty Carlisle Utd FC play there and that was it no side trips, Carlisle>Wembley>Carlisle
100%. And the reason why i prefer talent over skill 99% of the time is bc its easier to project.skill fluctuates from level to level. A refined HS QB who can go through reads, throw w anticipation, work level concepts etc can just easily be overwhelmed when they jump to even lower level college ball. Same holds true w the NFL. Skills are less predictable. Talent while not the final piece can at least provide peace of mind that the guy you select will not be outmatched physically & hopefully outmatches others in that same breath.
Oh, it was just a light-hearted joke, in the same vein as the Dukes of Hazzard one etc You win some, you lose some it seems
Bucky Brooks' QB prospect rankings by year: 2017: 1. Watson 2. Kizer 3. Trubisky 4. Mahomes 5. Webb 2018: 1. Rosen 2. Darnold 3. Mayfield 4. Jackson 5. Allen 2019: 1. Haskins 2. Murray 3. Lock 4. Jones 5. Finley 2020: 1. Tua 2. Burrow 3. Herbert 4. Love 5. Hurts Also the guy who said Brady was a system QB 2 years ago. Just so I'm clear, this is the guy it's OK to listen to about QB prospects but any mention of Simms, who's been a lot more accurate, is met with mocking derision? Do I have that right?
