It was a joke, though perhaps not as obvious to you, like the guy selected #3 by the teams is actually consensus #1 amongst them. Just a bad luck that not one but two teams passed on him.
I caught the joke and responded in kind. FYI he was the consensus top QB not consensus top player. So he really fell one spot among his positional ranking.

well shit my bad. i meant reports. even with that said, it's obvious the scouts don't either or he'd be the defacto #1. Not that it matters scouts didn't see it in mahomes. if they did a redraft mahomes would go 1st overall in hindsight. you see it in fields. most people clearly don't. maybe you'll be right. maybe not. it sure would be nice for someone to point out what they see in fields that most people aren't seeing. Problem with this is it includes 2019 when he played with a bum throwing shoulder and hand. it's actually more impressive he's that high under those conditions. all it does is make wilson look better to anyone that knows how badly he was beat up in 2019
