You truly don't get it. I have done all of that for myself. I don't need to "pause" at this point. I know what I do during this time leading up to the draft. I know how I feel about all the studying I do from that aspect of football. There isn't a debate to be had for me on where I stand or why I feel what I do. There is no need to throw a "hissy-fit" at this juncture of this process because I feel very confident In what I think right now. I am also not attacking a source because they may not like someone that I do.. I understand you are trying super hard to make this narrative of yours fit, but, It's not going to work. Feel however you may though. You're missing It though.
Agree. I was making reference to the way he worded it. But more fundamentally he lost all credibility with me anyhow, irrespective of the fact that he was just quoting selected GMs. I don’t think they would tell him what they really think, particularly if they are in the hunt for a QB.
It's not moronic when the source Isn't credible enough to take seriously. I don't care If It's his own opinion, another GM's, the water boy, the assistant HC.. His credibility Isn't valid and a lot of people aren't going to take that tweet to heart like you do. It doesn't matter. I'm done explaining It though. Take It to heart.. Do what you will, It's important to you. It's cool. To each, their own.
I agree. But again, he's not even giving his own opinions here so I'm not sure how that's relevant. The claim is being taken further by people saying he's making it up entirely for some reason. It's absurd.
Casserly being an idiot is not the same as him being an unreliable source. There's a difference between getting things wrong in hindsight and making things up for clicks.
Thanks for the lesson! Though I said right away there was a consensus amongst talking heads/media, so no lesson necessary. Just that there wasn't a consensus among actual teams, since he went #3. The reason I say this is that Sam was a flawed prospect due to bottom 5 TO rate and outside of top 20 clean pocket passing. This time I am actually seeing a general agreement (consensus) amongst pretty much everyone, even teams (GM poll, Steve Young comments about 49ers, Jets leaks), plus some very respected folks, like Jenkins, Simms, JT and even media (least valuable) that Zach Wilson is going to be really good. That is not a guarantee, but to me a different and more encouraging situation than Sam's media #1 projections 3 years ago.
I don't know how to break this down to you so that you will understand. I guess I'll use another users way of saying it.. I don't give a shit If he said Fields, Wilson, Trevor, Mond, Lance, whoever... I don't give a shit. It wouldn't matter. To me, Casserly, whatever he puts out into the ether, will never be credible for me. I really don't know how to explain It any other way.
..and you're a living, breathing, wall. Apparently. Again. You are trying to fit your own agenda and narrative on things. I'm not attacking the source because of their "possible" view of a QB. I'm attacking this source specifically because of who they are. Period. I'm done with this conversation with you. Enjoy you're be all, end all tweet from, Casserly. Solid.
The fact that he went 3 doesn’t dispel that he was the consensus top QB among actual teams. This is the part you are not getting. https://www.nfl.com/news/2018-nfl-d...-like-sam-darnold-over-allen-0ap3000000928334
