I'm not concerned with what the decision appears to be today. I asked specifically about the 20 year old reporters that are plugged into BYU which you referenced. You don't need to keep banging your point into the ground like a Brett Gardner ground out with two on.
I don’t believe LaFleur has ever called plays. He doesn’t have my trust as of now. Conversely, I know Saleh can run a defense. So I trust or have more trust on what he will do on that side of the ball.
You also don't need to make things up. Steve Young as a source sounds reliable enough without having to bring those poor 20 year olds into it. They're just trying to get an education man.
I expect him to run the Shanahan system which has been mostly successful. And I know that he won't rely on a 37 year old RB to be his workhorse.
The bar is terribly low, if Wilson can have better stats than Darnold in his first year that would be a HUGE achievement...
I was making a point of how things leak. people said the leak can't be form the jets because JD doesn't leak. I was pointing out how you have a bunch of family and friends of wilson who likely would know and his friends would be 20ish plus BYU has it's own reporters in the know. that's how draft stuff leaks all the time. not because of the team but because of the college prospects
Comes down to how they look in 2022. It's unrealistic to not anticipate growing pains in the early going as players learn the system and the QB experiences going up against NFL defenses for the first time.
I'm just gonna trust the FO on this one but I don't like how everyone is just anointing Wilson as the pick. I think Fields COULD be the better prospect and worth considering.
Wilson’s the pick guys.. I think Fields will also be successful in SF. The quick release and accuracy I’ll take over athleticism and physical freak every time.
Something about the butt fumble guy that I just never trust him. Be it his hyping Mitch T or Sam. Or now making an argument that if Fields didn't make 5 bad plays he would be looked at better. I mean the logic is so idiotic. You take 10 worst plays from Sam last year, and he has the best TD/INT ratio in the League instead of one of the worst. It's one thing to say he had a couple of bad games, but came back stellar, but now we are selectively removing INT plays to make the guy sound better? Something just seems off with this guy.
