I understand that and agree. I think we could possibly get Freiermuth at #34. OL HAS to take priority. The #23 pick should be an OL, and really the #34 should be as well imo. I'd love to add Freiermuth, but if JD takes a TE, he'll probably have to settle for one of Jordan and Long.
Oh Nellie! What did I miss here? So I have been a Fields supporter since October and now I am considered or labeled as a sad part of the crew? let’s just say this, Whoever JD picks at #2 is kind of a mute point ( not saying it s not important) but how we develop the supporting cast this year and next is is what matters. Just like Darnold those I didn’t want him when the Jets moved up I’ ll support him because it times to start winning games.
Yeah, but he's supposed to be a professional at this. Maybe he'll be proved right - you'd think someone who is paid to do this would be right more often than not, but he, and most talent evaluators seem to miss more often than not. But even id he WAS involved in evaluating QBs for Parcells, that's not much of a recommendation.
No, no one considers you part of the sad crew. You haven't been making all the snide comments and bitter posts.
Wow U are so far off base. The facts are to now Darnold just did not make it happen which means he just becomes a player who was a bust for us just another in the very, very , very long line of busts so I give JD some credit for at least having the gumpton to try to turn it around
Talk is cheap just as his comments aqre so whats the problem?Hhe is entitle to post his opinion snide or not
Being a Fields supporter doesn't make you "sad", just those Fields supporters who are acting so butt hurt because it looks like their boy isn't going to be the pick, and have to point the finger at those who like Wilson better because, you know, Douglas reads TGG religiously and follows what's posted here.
are you talking this board or the Jets front office? idk if its that big a deal anymore. worst comes to worst they trade the guy for a 2nd round pick in 3 years and start over again. Not like we haven't done that
Butt hurt is relative. I myself am experiencing no soreness in my anal region. I will not speak for my fellow Field supporters though.
The bitterness from Fields fans is palpable. I get it, though. I'd be a bit salty too if it looked like the team wasn't going to go with my preference. All the "I don't know if I can be a fan anymore if the Jets pick Wilson" reminds me a lot of people saying they're moving to Canada if their presidential candidate of choice isn't elected. Sad!
I was bitter about Mahomes. I was annoyed about Allen. Each time you lose less and less feeling. I’ll be numb by the time we pass on Fields.
Eh, sort of. There's no doubt Wilson fans are being more fair in their analysis. Do you see any Wilson fans saying they're done with the Jets if Fields is the pick? Do you see any Wilson fans saying they don't know if they belong in this fanbase anymore if Fields is the pick? The hysterics are all on one side.
If there's one thing Jets fans are elite at it's convincing themselves to be optimistic during the offseason. I'd do it if Fields was the pick. I'd be upset for about a day before convincing myself it was the right move over Wilson.
