Are you not surprised that Perine is supposedly faster than Johnson and Adams? I dont' see that at all.
I don't like perine at all. he looks like he doens't do anything well. vision is meh, speed is meh, ability to break a tackle is non existant. I can't see him on the roster in 2022
the stat was max speed on a running play. It was not so & so is faster than so & so. If Johnson (or whoever) can't get out of the backfield into open space they will not reach their max speed
if he's around in the 4th/5th depending whos on the board i'd grab him. But I think outside of QB and probably 1 lineman it's going to be a defensive heavy draft. we signed 2 WRs, JD seems to like the o-line he's built. we'll have a new QB 2nd overall. but our back 7 on defense is really weak so I can see a lot of LBers and DBs in the draft for us.
He certainly has the requisite speed, but I'm concerned with his limited number of receptions in college.
He's the perfect fit. I still see them going later for RB but I'd love to see the Jets draft him, 3rd round is the sweet spot for RBs drafted for this offense.
Didn’t like him until I knew we would be running Shanahan’s O. I prefer my RBs w/ more wiggle but he’s a great system fit.
Why wouldn't Gainwell be the best fit? He's fast, elusive, a great blocker, a great receiver. He's a total RB.
