The clown of all drafts, Kiper Dude's reputation is gone and his credibility being awful these days. I guess I'll take the positive buzz so we can move Darnold for a fresh start
You know the guy is full of shit when 49ers just traded 3 first round picks including #12 plus a 3d rounder to get one of these QBs. Somehow I doubt they made this offer for Sam first, and when JD refused, they took Miami's 3d overall.
Darnold is not getting traded not because medicals are not in yet for Zach, but because we haven't been offered much value. Contrary to the rumor that Jets are waiting for full evaluation, JD said on the press conference he is taking calls for Sam. Also, 49ers had no problem to move to #3 for a QB before medical reports. The reality is that what many of us were saying before is coming true - the late 1st rounder market, etc, was just made up by likes of Kiper and Schefter. Sam's value at this point is around a mid round pick, where someone could take a low % shot, but not a premium pick. It might increase a bit during/right after the draft when teams perhaps miss out on some players they wanted to get. He is not being looked at as a starter at this point, and teams will not be giving up premium draft capital for a back-up with potential. It might come down to whether we want to trade Sam for a 3d/4th rounder, which is what I feel we might get offered. 2nd would be a no brainer and hopefully someone offers, but I am not holding my breath. If we are offered mid round, JD might just stick with him as an initial starter, ultimately making way for the rookie QB.
I'm thinking this could be the way to go I'm all on board for drafting Wilson now but no way would throw him straight in at the deep end Darnold is my choice for opening day with a great prospect waiting in the wings Wilson will no doubt get a shot at some point during the season and if Sam plays well then next off season a big decision needs making albeit a nice problem to have
Opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one. Tim Jenkins and whoever this guys is watched the same film and come up with exactly the opposite conclusions. Pretty cool breakdowns from Tim in case anyone has time to watch:
That's because most people haven't watched Fields past the two CFB playoff games (not sure how you can not like him from these two games) and two bad halves he had vs. Northwestern and Indiana. Meanwhile they've relieved themselves over Zach Wilson tape since they 'discovered' him against UCF. For everyone's viewing pleasure below against legitimate defenses.
I wonder what’s going to piss off the passionate fans here the most. JD not picking the QB they want, or JD keeping Sam, not getting a QB and building a team around him with extra picks. There will be mixed reactions no matter what we do and who we pick. I have my preference but in the end it doesn’t matter one bit who amongst us will be proven right. What matters is that JD, RS and our hot shot OC get it right. This team will be much improved from last year no matter what, but we need a QB that will eventually elevate this team into a winner.
I can tell you what would piss me off the most. That's staying put at #2 and taking Sewell. That's malfeasance and he should immediately be fired on national TV and not allowed to finish the draft. Rolling with Sam and not drafting a QB would be be next. I could at least understand that a little. Trading down and not taking a QB would be a major mistake, and it would be next. Again, I could understand that somewhat. I'd think his judgement was off, that he was stupid and should be fired, but could at least understand it. Taking a different QB would surprise and disappoint me to some extent, but I'd be willing to give it a shot and see how it worked out. It wouldn't piss me off unless he drafted Trask or Mond at #2, and I like Mond ok, but that's way too high.
Can someone help me understand why Watson is still being mentioned as an option please? I legitimately cannot comprehend trading for a player that has 16 pending sexual misconduct lawsuits.
I just have a hard time believing Douglass would take someone as frail and injury prone as Wilson at 2. The NFL is a totally different animal and Wilson’s fragile body would be destroyed behind a mediocre oline. It has to be Fields or Lance.
I can't comprehend a famous person having to do this to get a BJ, I'm not saying the woman are lying at all because people do the fucking dumbest of things when they think they can do what they want but seriously I am sure he could have had any girl he wanted without forcing them 'allegedly' if found guilty it will ruin him and fair enough, all for a BJ and touching woman with your cock. The only surprise is that it didn't come out until after we had traded 3 1sts for him.
my point here is that people are nonchalantly throwing out trading #2 to Houston still as if any of Watson’s legal troubles are resolved in 20 something days. There would still be some sort of NFL suspension looming after all of that stuff as well.
