I liked & mentioned many times during the draft process that Allen found ways to win ugly. If he had to throw for 300 yards he did. If he had to carry the ball 20 times he did. He just did whatever was necessary. It wasn’t always pretty based on the offense & personnel.
Nobody that I know of. However, Alabama is having 2 pro days, with the second taking place within a larger SEC pro day gathering on March 30th. Neither Harris, Waddle, or Smith participated in the first one. Patrick Surtain stood out at CB.
I actually think it's the opposite. They traded up assuming Wilson will not be there and want to secure Fields or Lance. This month before the draft strategy worked out so well for the Jets.
Or they're following the Maccagnan playbook, hoping to get one of top QBs and praying the one they want falls to them. EDIT: added emoji
My thoughts exactly. I think this trade means the Jets are almost certainly taking Wilson at #2 and other teams know it.
SF is officially going win now. But how can they verify their guy will be there at #3? Maybe they will be happy with either or - but this is a very risky trade in many ways.
I'm good with it, either the Jets get a FQB guy they really want, or the price for anyone else to get the guy they want for sure just went even higher. Can you imagine the price on #2 now? What is the Panthers package to come up from 8?
