The WR market is super intriguing to me. The Agholor 2 for $26 prob raised question marks for every other GM out there. Samuel, JuJu, and KG all still on the market.

I think JD is always a sleeper when the market drys up is when he does his best work and what he likes. If he can get one of those guys on a steal short deal I think he will and our WR room would do a full turnaround in a quick time. I also think he likes Neal safety hoping we can get him as well.
I think Neal is in play but I don’t think he’s one of the “market dried up” guys. He’s got a legit competitive market. I think those guys are gonna be the receivers, the RBs and maybe guys like Trai Turner who had a terrible year and no team wants to invest starter money in him.
I think your right. I think he has a number and won't budge. He just called agents that first day, have his offer. Then slept in the next 2 days. At 4 he will send out more offer then Netflix and chill... agents will call back. He's not gonna overpay.

These are smart stopgaps for a rebuilding team. Young players on second contracts who have proven to be productive in the right situations. You don't go out and break the bank for the top FAs when you don't even know who your QB is and your entire roster is in upheaval.

THis makes sense. ANd to take it a bit further, if JD thinks he might trade down 'a bit' and still pick up a QB (not names Zack) then JD will keep Sam until after his pick. He doesn't want to clue off the rest of the NFL what he's doing, and if he trades Sam first, every team will know he's taking a QB (and possibly trade ahead of the Jet).
