I really enjoy the draft game in the other thread but here is another one if you want a change of pace: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/mockdraft/
My latest effort: 38 Teven Jenkins OT Oklahoma State 41 Jayson Oweh EDGE Penn State 46 Alex Leatherwood OT Michigan 48 Terrace Marshall Jr. WR LSU 59 Carlos Basham Jr. EDGE Wake Forest 64 Trey Smith OG Tennessee 80 Brevin Jordan TE Miami (FL) 81 Jabril Cox LB LSU 89 Patrick Jones EDGE Pitt 93 Davis Mills QB Stanford 147 Adetokunbo Ogundeji DT Notre Dame 155 Chuba Hubbard RB Oklahoma State 175 Kary Vincent Jr. CB LSU 2022 CIN 1st 2022 NE 1st 2022 CIN 2nd 2022 NE 2nd 2022 MIA 2nd 2022 TB 2nd 2022 DET 2nd 2022 CAR 2nd 2022 CLE 2nd 2022 CIN 3rd 2022 LV 5th
This is the one I've used for a few months. It's far more realistic than the game where one can trade back and end up with 50 picks. 2. Zach Wilson QB BYU 23. Rashod Bateman WR Minnesota 34. Pat Freiermuth TE Penn State 66. Creed Humphrey OC Oklahoma 86. Kenneth Gainwell RB Memphis 107. Jackson Carman OT Clemson 147. Chauncey Golston Edge Iowa 155. Anthony Schwartz WR Auburn 188. Jose Borregales K Miami(FL) 249. Bryan Mills CB NC Central
I use PFN and ive gone through a few rounds, some i find more realistic than others. 1st simulation: semi realistic, trading down I got a haul from the bengals and i think it may be too rich. Results: 6. Ja'marr Chase WR LSU 23. Travis Etienne RB Clemson 36. Wyatt Davis OG Ohio State 37. Ifeatu Melifonwu CB Syracuse 38. Kadarius Toney WR Florida 81. Quincy Roche Edge Miami (FL) 147. Trey Hill OC Georgia 155. Daelin Hayes Edge Notre Dame 188. Kary Vincent Jr. CB LSU 249. Olajih Griffin CB USC 2022 Cin 1st, 2022 Cin 2nd. 2nd Simulation: Realistic, by realistic i mean a scenario that has grounding in reality, not necessarily who the Jets are going to pick. Results below: 2. Zach Wilson QB BYU 23. Rashod Bateman WR Minnesota 34. Wyatt Davis OG Ohio State 66. Aaron Robinson CB UCF 86. Josh Myers OC Ohio State 107. Ambry Thomas CB Michigan 147. Chauncey Golston Edge Iowa 155. Daelin Hayes Edge Notre Dame 188. Damonte Coxie WR Memphis 249. Tommy Kraemer OG Notre Dame Let me know what you guys think. I'll post some more of my simulations later.
I would be all over this. I had a huge crush on Justin Jefferson last year and Bateman is giving me that same type of feeling.
Took another shot at this one: I think I used our 5th through 7th round picks next year in trades. 14 Gregory Rousseau EDGE Miami (FL) 26 Christian Barmore DT Alabama 34 Nick Bolton LB Missouri 36 Mac Jones QB Alabama 47 Jaelan Phillips EDGE Miami (FL) 49 Alex Leatherwood OT Alabama 50 Richie Grant S UCF 67 Dillon Radunz OT North Dakota State 76 Josh Myers OC Ohio State 85 Walker Little OT Stanford 94 Kenneth Gainwell RB Memphis 95 Demetric Felton WR UCLA 96 Marlon Tuipulotu DT USC 136 Charles Snowden LB Virginia 147 Jamie Newman QB Georgia 153 Cade Johnson WR South Dakota State 155 Richard LeCounte S Georgia 158 Darius Stills DT West Virginia 159 Daelin Hayes EDGE Notre Dame 180 Kary Vincent Jr. CB LSU 2022 LAC 1st 2022 MIN 2nd 2022 CIN 3rd 2022 GB 3rd 2022 KC 4th 2022 NYG 4th
This one turned out kinda weird. 12 Trey Lance QB North Dakota State 32 Kadarius Toney WR Florida 34 Mac Jones QB Alabama 38 Jayson Oweh EDGE Penn State 66 Dylan Moses LB Alabama 89 Rashad Weaver EDGE Pitt 91 Hunter Long TE Boston College 110 Kyle Trask QB Florida 117 Kellen Mond QB Texas A&M 147 Jaylen Twyman DT Pittsburgh 155 Rodarius Williams CB Oklahoma State 160 Marvin Wilson DT Florida State 188 Janarius Robinson EDGE Florida State 2022 CIN 1st 2022 SF 1st 2022 TB 1st 2022 NYG 3rd
minnesotan here....i watched Bateman play for the gophers. He was consistently effortlessly better than everyone else. He has a chance be a nice one.
2 Zach Wilson, QB, BYU 23 Patrick Surtain II, CB, Alabama 43 Zaven Collins, LB, Tulsa 67 Liam Eichenberg, OT, Notre Dame 107 Ihmir Smith-Marsette WR, Iowa 130 Royce Newman, OG, Ole Miss 135 Chuba Hubbard, RB, Oklahoma State 142 Trey Hill, OC, Georgia 146 Daelin Hayes, Edge, Notre Dame 155 Frank Darby, WR, Arizona State 174 Tariq Thompson, S, San Diego State 2022 SF 2nd 2022 HOU 5th Didn't plan to wait this long for offensive skill guys, but Surtain falling to 23 was too good to pass up, though if I had known the next was going to end up on defense, I might have taken Bateman. Zac Wilson fell shockingly far (hence the trade down to 43) and Collins was another surprise at 43.
Surtain at # 23 was a huge double fisted steal. Trey Hill and Liam Eichenberg were nice grabs where you picked them.
8. Trey Lance QB North Dakota State 23. Rashod Bateman WR Minnesota 34. Jeremiah Owusu Koramoah LB Notre Dame 39. Tyson Campbell CB Georgia 66. Javonte Williams RB North Carolina 73. Josh Myers OC Ohio State 86. Hunter Long TE Boston College 107. Hamilcar Rashed Jr Edge Oregon State 147. Anthony Schwartz WR Auburn 155. Amen Ogbongbemiga LB Oklahoma State 188. Riley Patterson K Memphis 249. Syrus Tuitele OT Fresno State Additional Picks: 2022 Carolina 1st 2022 Carolina 2nd Panthers gave up 4 picks to move up 6 spots. And Chase went 19 to the WFT.
No trades this time. 2. Zach Wilson QB BYU 23. Karadius Toney WR Florida 34. Tyson Cambell CB Georgia 66. Javonte Williams RB North Carolina 86. Jackson Carman OT Clemson 107. Payton Turner Edge Houston 147. Drake Jackson OC Kentucky 155. Caden Sterns S Texas 188. Jose Borregales K Miami(FL) 249. KJ Britt LB Auburn
I am feeling pretty good about JD's ability to pick players in the draft, and I am optimistic about the new coaching staff. I may be in the minority, but I want the Jets to keep Darnold, trade out of 2nd position for a potential plethora of talent, use all the other fairly high draft picks, and do FA in a thoughtful way. This is my idea for fixing the team ASAP.
Absurdly unrealistic, but sign me up for this one 8 Trey Lance, QB, North Dakota State 23 DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama 34 Gregory Rousseau, Edge, Miami 38 Jalen Mayfield, OT, Michigan 45 Zaven Collins, LB, Tula 66. Elijah Molden, CB, Washington 69. Dylan Moses, LB, Alabama 107. Peter Werner, LB, Ohio State 147. David Moore, OG, Grambling State 155. Jaret Peterson, RB, Buffalo 188. Robert Hainsey, OG, Notre Dame 2022 CIN 1st 2022 JAX 3rd CIN offered 5, 38, 69 and the 2022 #1 for #2 (Sewell) CAR offered 8 and 39 for 5 (Fields) and 86 JAX offered 45 and a 2022 3rd for 39 (Freiermuth) and 249 Too many LBs, but Werner had fallen like 40+ picks
First time I have ever tried this but here goes - 6 Zach Wilson QB BYU 23 Alex Leatherwood OT Alabama 23 Wyatt Davis OG Ohio State 37 Terrance Marshall Jr WR LSU 66 Elijah Molden CB Washington 70 Hunter Long TE Boston College 86 Seth Williams WR Auburn 147 Kendrick Green OG(C) Illinois Can't believe I took a trade at 2 and still got Zach Wilson at 6 I assumed we get an edge rusher in FA
I try not to do these with trade downs but it really seems like we will. 8 - Trey Lance, QB 23 - Azeez Ojulari, DE 34 - Alex Leatherwood, OT 39 - Tyson Campbell, CB 66 - Amon Ra St. Brown, WR 73 - Jabril Cox, LB 86 - Michael Carter, RB 107 - Tommy Togiai, DT 147 - Garrett Wallow, LB 155 - Drake Jackson, C 188 - Jonathan Adams Jr., WR 249 - Riley Patterson, K Granted - I see no way Togiai falls and Campbell will probably rise.
My latest effort (traded down with Carolina and traded up for the last four selections) 8 DeVonta Smith WR Alabama 23 Patrick Surtain II CB Alabama 34 Joseph Ossai EDGE Texas 39 Wyatt Davis OG Ohio State 66 Trey Smith OG Tennessee 79 Brevin Jordan TE Miami (FL) 104 Joe Tryon EDGE Washington 136 Keith Taylor CB Washington 171 Jaret Patterson RB Buffalo 2022 CAR 1st 2022 CAR 2nd 2022 CAR 5th (traded away both sixth round picks next year ours + 49ers
My first attempt, no trades: New York Jets 2. Zach Wilson QB 23. Wyatt Davis OG 34. Javonte Williams RB 66. Amon-Ra St. Brown WR 86. Quincy Roche Edge 107. Tommy Tremble TE 147. Kendrick Green OG 155. Cary Vincent CB 188. Jose Borregales K 249. Matt Bushman TE
I got creative with this one. I traded away all of our 2022 draft picks with the exception of the two first rounders (ours and Seattle's) in an effort to get more first round picks. I ended up with eight first rounders for next year (and no picks in rounds 2-7). I still ended up with a pretty decent draft class for 2021. 19 Najee Harris RB Alabama 38 Wyatt Davis OG Ohio State 39 Tyson Campbell CB Georgia 41 Alex Leatherwood OT Alabama 53 Terrace Marshall Jr. WR LSU 130 Royce Newman OG Ole Miss 146 Rodarius Williams CB Oklahoma State 155 Jamie Newman QB Georgia 188 Jermar Jefferson RB Oregon State 243 Malik Herring EDGE Georgia 2022 CIN 1st 2022 CAR 1st 2022 WAS 1st 2022 ATL 1st 2022 LAR 1st 2022 TEN 1st
