Well, there's no way that the Mets were going to come within $25M of that contract, so here's to another Boras client chasing idiotically ridiculous money to a bad team, rather than merely absurdly ridiculous money to a good team. Has that ever worked out for one of them? (That's not a rhetorical question - has any of his clients who've taken more money to go to a bad team actually had that team get good? I can't recall any.)
Wowzah. I really, really thought he was going to sign with the Mets so he could play for a contender. Why bother with San Fran except for the fact that it's close to Oakland?
I'm not sure many people would have agreed after his first two years there, but yes, he did eventually end up on a winner.
Yeah. That's it Panic... Let's trade a good RF, that hits lefties well for an 43yr. old reliever, thatnshot his load last year... Sorry, been down that road...
A Good RF????? Milledge hasn't shown anything in the Major League level to make me believe he'll be a good RF, not to mention his shitty ass attitude. And who says we're trading him for a 43 year old reliever? That was a ridiculous post... EDIT: Nevermind.
I believe he's referring to the Nady for Roberto Hernandez/Oliver Perez deal. Especially since Milledge was terrible against lefties when we saw him last year.
Not true. He wasn't tearing it up with the power numbers, but had a much higher OBP against lefties. Albeit in limited PA's.
He was still terrible though. a .660 OPS against anyone is horrid, let alone a right handed hitter against lefties.
Swing and a miss, Omar strikes out. HUGE loss for the mets as of today unless of course Omar is able to make a deal but who will he get? The mets desperately need SP.
