Lance also had more than twice as many rushing attempts as Wilson, no?

I don't hate the idea of trading back a bit and drafting Lance but I think given how important QB is we shouldn't get too cute and just pick the guy who's better at doing the most important thing QB's do, passing the ball.

I don't disagree i think he goes in the top ten, would have liked him with a later pick so we could get some Chase or the top CB in as well.
    I'm greedy lol

What’s not fair about it? He’s 100% correct. Taking Sewell would be a terrible pick.

He thinks we should draft Sewel as a guard.

Which would be great if he would play guard and not want to be a high earning left tackle lol

Wow I love when people calling out others for stupidity end up being the stupid ones. It’s so entertaining.

Just wait until teams get a chance to interview him, and watch him work out.
I've already predicted his buzz and stock will start climbing more at that point.

He's an excellent prospect, I don't think we'd be able to trade down much at all if we want him.
In this scenario I would keep Sam for 2021 though...

Same logic was used to discredit Allen, and lots of people eating crow on that one.
Have to look at the entirety of what the QB can bring to an offense.

Wilson is not a dual threat by any stretch.

One of the reason I liked Allen, and like Lance, they are big time dual threats in RZ.

Lance's accuracy actually improves in RZ, and on deep balls.
He's extremely poised in pocket, makes good decisions, and does his best work where it matters most.
His running ability and athleticism is just a nice bonus.
I see a LOT of Russel Wilson in his game, with shades of Josh Allen mixed in.

I don’t think we should draft Sewell to play guard. I think we should draft Sewell to have the strongest OL in the league. If he plays Guard some nights, then so be it. If it gives us ridiculous depth for OT then so be it.

To be worried who’s were going to pay top talent 5 years from know is what I’m referring to as stupid/short sided/ a 1st world problem as the kids would say.

If the biggest off-season concern the 2025 Jets have is how to pay their top tier OL, frankly that’s a problem I’m willing to live with.

How did the Dolphins manage to pay Tunsil when he demanded top dollar? I’ll go google it but I assume it turned out bad for the Dolphins, right?

Oh, now you expect some level of reasonable conversation after being a total snide

I don't really think so tbh.

The reasonable conversation was attempted last week.
There are too few reasonable people on this board to make that possible.

QB prospects like Allen was almost never work out in the NFL. You're using him as an example of a good prospect when 99% of the prospects that look like he did never work out in the NFL. Allen made a historical improvement in his accuracy this season. You'd be wrong the vast majority of the time predicting he would've done that.

He's had 2 awful seasons and 1 very good season. Pump the brakes a bit on taking a victory lap.

I never said Wilson is dual threat. I said I value the ability to pass effectively much more than anything else in a QB.

Another point I would like to mention is we can use our draft picks this year to draft olineman and recievers in the early rounds and see how Sam responds. In 2022 we would still have enough draft capital to move up if necessary and grab our qb. I would hate to force a pick at 2 for fields or wilson without 100% confidence in the pick.

Because you are a dickhead with 54 posts and a too large mouth, the latter making reasonableness unlikely to happen.

    I'm done with you.

    I’ll leave these highlights here.

Some of you people are focused on the wrong problems- a rookie won’t want to play guard- waah. An OT can’t play OG - LOL. We’ll have too much talent in the OL lol gtfo.
I never called Sewell a Guard. I called it drafting the best OL in the league. If he play OG bc I trust my OTs more than my OGs then so be it. (Big picture stuff).

I would much rather trade with say Carolina for their #9 and 2022 1st and take Rashawn Slater but that wasn’t an option.

Why would Sewell play guard when he's proven he can be a good tackle already and tackles make much more money? And why draft a guard or RT at #2 when you can find very good guards and RT's much later in the draft?

    This isn't rocket science.
