Any report I've seen doesn't even mention him going to the Jets, it's The Colts, Redskins and Dolphins, the only mention of the Jets is because we have the trade capital, there's going to be some butt hurt fans lmfao

seems like the Colts would have zero chance. why would the Texans let him go to their division rival the redskins scare me because they reportedly put in a massive offer for Stafford. If they did that, they definitely have a huge offer for Watson
They definitely could throw a huge offer out there (they have their own firsts through 2023 and one extra 3rd) but they'd be mortgaging a WHOLE lot more than we would if we made the exact same offer. Just have to hope that teams don't want to spend the kind of draft capital that we are able to spend because they don't have any in extra picks in chamber like we do.
What exactly is Minnesota's backup plan though? Seems odd to trade Cousins while having the 14th pick unless they are specifically targeting Trask, Jones or Lance.
Lance is from Minnesota, I wouldn’t doubt they taking a long look. I think they’d need to trade up tho. Hell I’m hoping he doesn’t make it past the Jets. To your point I’d think they should still retain Cousins for another year tho as Lance may go early, and likely won’t be ready to start right away even if they get him.

I don't think Lance goes in the top 10 unless a team trades up for him. He's a massive project and there aren't many teams that have the infrastructure in place to let him stay on the bench and learn while also being able to field a respectable team. But yea, even if they are targeting Lance, it makes no sense to ditch Cousins for him unless there's a veteran one-year guy they think can hold down the fort and not waste years of Cook and Theilen's primes.
Sounds like a team with 5 first round picks over the next three years should be on the phone like, now, with the Texans... If Watson flexes his NTC muscle a bit, I really think we can get him for 3 firsts, a day 2 pick and maybe a player.
Panthers thought that too, then went 5-10. Granted McCaffrey barely played but still... I don't think Teddy is really getting anyone too excited these days. Again for me it's more about wasting years of Cook and Theilen's prime. Signing Bridgewater isn't an upgrade and Lance is a massive question mark to begin with. You're taking a big gamble.
Can we confirm the Jets made a solid offer for Stafford ? Because quite frankly, I don't believe it. Stafford is for a contending club like the Rams or Indy, not a rebuilding club like the Jets. I think this could be JoeD just trying to do a "False Flag" operation and confuse people by indicating trading for Stafford (asinine and ridiculous) and entertaining trading Sam Darnold (much more likely, like 50-50).
I like following uStadium on Twitter but I cannot stand when they post news to their platform. I can never read it. Is there any actual source for this or is it just their own sources because while I like following them, I don't think they really break much news themselves.
