How can you even compare the two situations? One is a proven elite QB, the other was a rookie.

You’re right, misstated it. He’s a headache worth dealing with unlike Adams and Odell.

You see, trading second rounders for a QB that turned out to be bad is the same as trading picks for a quarterback we know is good

That wasn't the comparison that ChadtoColes presented.

Your right though - it was a 2 win difference compared to the Jets.

He would have to retire to not play for them if they refuse to trade him.

I certainly think they will trade him because there will be a team that absolutely caves to an outrageous price for him that they can’t turn down.

no he wouldn't have to retire. He will be a free agent eventually.

but if you agree that he will be traded then what is the point of arguing that they will refuse to trade him when even you think they won't

Because the conversation wasn’t that they would refuse to trade him it was disputing the notion that they are going to be forced to trade him. They won’t be forced to trade him, they will accept a trade that is too good to turn down.

No, his contract doesn’t simply expire after four years. He will have to report at some point and execute his obligation to the contract he signed.

Robinson is significantly better than Cooks. Robinson has never had a good QB throw him the ball.

    Trade #2 and #34, '22 SEA 1st, '23 1st for Watson
Trade Sam for a 3rd round pick
    Cut Lewis and Anderson

Based on PFF's free agent contract projections, the Jets could then go on to sign Thuney, May, Poole, Verrett, Juszczyk, and still have $10M in cap space to fill out the roster after the draft and have cap space in '22.

Lol what? The only reason they'd consider a trade in the first place is because they're being forced to trade him. If someone made an offer of 30 1st round picks and 30 second round picks for Pat Mahomes, he still wouldn't get traded, no matter how great the offer is.

Language is not your strong suit. There’s no consideration possible in a situation you’re forced into by threat. That’s coercion. Trade me or I don’t play is a threat.

they’ll decide to trade him because he has value and they’ll decide they can capture a significant benefit by doing so but because he demands it.

Haha you're trying so hard and coming off so wrong. Consideration means considering different offers. Not considering whether they're trading or not. Fucking duh.

No, consideration isn’t restricted to simply offers, it’s considering any factor that they damn well choose. Again, language is not your strong suit.

Imagine the same scenario with any other franchise. It'll be a story across every major sports news outlet. It's no different if it's the Jets or Dolphins. This is no longer like times of the past.

Every football team is discussed and scrutinized at length because of the availability of information that the internet has provided. Any team that does not succeed after trading a haul for him is going to be roasted.

Yes it is. Just because you're picking at these words to suit your argument doesn't make it so. They're only thinking about trade offers because he's forcing them to.

Well, one common denominator is trading away draft capital to upgrade a single position, no? How'd that work out for us in 3 short years ago?

That’s still a chance he is coming. We have 3 months to pretend we know how to grade draft prospects. We can focus on this for a little longer.

The Texans would be morons to not say what they said. They have two+ months to try to rectify the situation. They will explore that before running to the phone to make the trade.

If they move him they need draft picks this year. But they have until draft time to make that determination even though they'll likely try to make a move as free agency opens.
