2 shitty seasons out of 4 years. his rookie year and this year they went 4-12 in seasons 2 and 3 they won their division
Prediction: Stafford-SF Garappolo-NE Trubisky-Chicago Watson-Carolina Darnold-New Orleans Bridgewater-Jets Fitzpatrick -Houston Winston-Pittsburgh Draft: Lawrence-Jax Wilson-NYJ Fields-Atlanta Lance-Houston Jones-Chicago
I'm not talking about their records. When Bob McNair was ill, Easterby was the shoulder the McNair family leaned on. As time has gone on, Easterby has gained more and more power within the organization. I thought the Leslie Frazier interview was odd until I learned that Easterby, Caserio and Frazier share the same agent
watson is only 25 though and will be a FA at 30. he could help to build the texans but instead he's opting to try and move on.
Because apparently, nobody wants good players on this team. Whenever we can trade a first rounder for a top player, people say that's too much and draft picks are too valuable. But whenever we have the opportunity to grab a great player in the draft, people say that we should trade down. And then, of course, when we DO fill the team with low cost, late round draft picks, Jets fans complain about the lack of talent. I don't get it. I also don't get this strategy of "Get a good O-line and good receivers, but get a cheap, journeyman game manager QB."
It makes a lot of sense. Carolina seems like the most logical trade destination for Watson. Houston would prefer to trade him out of the conference, Carolina has an aggressive owner, and the Clemson/Carolina connection should appease Watson. It would be funny to see it come full circle if Teddy ends up competing with Wilson three years after Darnold. I’d imagine Saleh and JD would give him a legit chance to win the job unlike Bowles and McCagnan.
it goes to show, whcih i have spoken about on other Jet forums. 95% of Jet fans dont know WTF they are talking about. whihc is why my ignore list grows almost every time I log on. We have botched the DRAFT, THATS why 2020 happened. passing onm Waston then wasting 4 picks on the GreatWhiteHope killed us. we havent had a legit top 12 QB on the roster since Favre.
So because the Jets haven’t drafted well that somehow makes draft picks less valuable to the Jets than for other other teams?
stafford played there for 12 years and didn't just sign an extension to be the 2nd highest paid QB. it's very different
Stafford is maybe worth a 2nd round pick to the right team. That's because he's a QB. Any other position and nobody has interest at any price, preferring to try to swing a deal with him after the Lions part ways. Remember, this is unholy cap hell year. Lots of vets are going to be getting cut and a few surprise younger players as well.
If you're the Colts, who aren't in position to draft anyone other than Jones, Stafford is worth your late first rounder. With him, you're right up there with the Titans, without him, you're probably a losing team but still too good to tank.
