Only 3 of those players they drafted in the first round the last decade are on the Chiefs. One of which is the best QB in the NFL and without him, we wouldn’t be talking about how good the Chiefs are.
Not sure why the Texans needed to hire a 'search' committee to find black men to interview....there's only two of them.
If by "some people" you mean the majority of fans who come to this site you'd be correct. Check the poll. 51% of the fanbase doesn't want to give more then the Jamal picks.
Some we’ve known about for a while. Others are new additions. Imagine if we actually DO trade for Watson? Gonna be some melting down going on within the fanbase. If they haven’t already found a new team because we hired a Muslim coach.
That is delusional thinking. Nobody is bringing race into our trades or hires except you. Can we cancel that please?
Something like 80% of QBs who played in a SB are in the HoF. What that says to me is the Jets are still on the tarmac. With Watson, no only is the plane fueled up, the hot flight attendant is passing out free shots of vodka, and the plane is about to embark.
I'm glad your not the Gm of any NFL team if you think two injury prone guys and a young guy who just had a good year because of the QB we are talking about is one of the best WR groups
Wait I check this thread after a few days and now it’s racist shit we are spewing? dear lord Never fucking ends. Always an excuse. Always some card needs to be played.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the final straw for Watson was something happening with Saleh. That would explain the timing of this whole situation as well as Watson's agent talking up the Jets.
Watson is a top 3 QB in the league who hasn’t even entered his prime yet. It has to be 3 number ones for Houston to take it seriously. Offer the #2 pick in this years draft, Seattle’s #1 in next years draft, the Jets #1 in the 2023 draft and Darnold.
J.J. Watt is 31 and his last double digits sack season was in 2018. He's one of the most likely players to get cut in a surprise cap-move.
The Texans are in terrible trouble. They're dealing from a position of incredible weakness with no good answers on the horizon unless somebody bails them out and takes the problem off of their hands. The problem, BTW, is not Deshaun Watson, although every day that he acts out they risk him becoming part of the problem. The problem is they signed a last era contract, one of the biggest last era contracts, just before the new era broke over them. The NFL is one of the most efficient sports enterprises at milking every last dollar out of the game. It's not like there are fresh undiscovered revenue streams out there for them to tap to cover the attendance, concessions and merchandising shortfalls the pandemic has created. This means that for 2020 and 2021 and probably 2022 revenues are going to be down from prior expectations and not down just a little, down billions of dollars. Contracts signed just before the wave rolled in are going to be hell to cover in the new reality. If you're lucky you're a good team like the Chiefs and can maybe squeeze by the massacre, cutting a few big earners in the process but remaining competitive overall with your quarter billion dollar QB. You won't be the Chiefs of old but you might be able to drive the merchandising through the roof with an Amazon deal and Patrick Mahomes and the other remaining stars to sell. If you're the Texans you're probably going to have to cut several of your high earners and at least one of them has a huge name and a lot of merchandizing already attached to him. You're still likely to be a bad team because the cuts are going to be impactful on the field. You're doing the "who? what? where?" that people getting up on the road after a bicyclist ran them down do. The Texans are desperate right now. The way to deal with their misfortune is to sit back and wait to see exactly how desperate they are in a few months.
Why are you still peddling this bollocks? It is like every 5 pages you need to repeat a version of events that are actually not the events that he is actually pissed off in Houston about? We know, you know, the real reason but still, you persist in making it about losing/money issues. So why do it?
