Imagine shitting on a guy because he fights for social justice. Wrong place, I know, but that's one of the worst complaints I've ever heard about him.
I think I’ve settled on my Maximum Offer for Watson. I think this is where I top out: -Sam Darnold -2021 1st -2021 1st -2022 1st -2022 2nd -2023 4th
I'd be good with that, except adding both our 1st round picks in 2021. They can take #2, but we still have Seattle's first round pick this year.
I think I'd back out if they want both firsts this year. We need one of those to fill out the roster ASAP. I also don't think they'd want Darnold unless they planned on going Sewell or Smith at 2. So I'd say: 2021 1st 2022 1st 2023 1st 2022 2nd And if they want... Darnold.
The right way doesn’t always equal making a ton of draft picks. The right way is maximizing your available resources to make quality additions that help you win football games. Is trading 3 firsts and a 2nd worth a top 3 QB in the NFL? I’d say yes.
So let him fight all he wants, off the clock. I don't want that shit shoved down my throat every time I watch a football game.
LOL 3 yrs ago half of Jets Nation threatened to burn their season tics if we brought in Kapernick. But now it's awesome? got it.
Perhaps, but I think it could. Think about it, Houston could also trade out of the #2 pick to accumulate even more picks. This helps even more especially if they like Darnold. Edit-Miami could outbid only if Houston possibly likes Tua more than Darnold. That could be a wildcard here. Do they like Tua more? Or Darnold?
That's why we need him to flat out say he wants to be a Jet. If push came to shove I'd do it because I couldn't stomach Watson on the Dolphins but if we're bidding against ourselves, there's no reason to appease the Texans by throwing in both from this year.
It's already going away, and not just in football. NBA told the teams to take it off the courts going forward. NFL told players to keep it in the locker room. Ratings tanking might have something to do with it.
Right. And like you said, he's a top 3 QB. Not a top 5 QB. Not a top 10 QB. He's top 3. And one of the 2 guys ahead of him is 12 years older.
