LOL - that's a good question. What say you, Champ? Were you pissed that Nammath didn't throw any passes in the fourth quarter, or that Unitas was able to score that last TD?
If you read any of champ's posts, you'd see he was very impressed with the way Mangini and co. handled the game after the Kassel fumble play. He's a real Jets fan who was just frustrated by the previous regime, like many people here.
his life is a train wreck... drugs, booze, gambling ect... plus he has a family he put through all this... he's been fired from 3 NY radio stations because of his behavior... he could be entertaining in small doses but it usually morphed into being annoying...
I never thought Sid was that crazy on the air (maybe just a little goofy)....I didn't know he had all this past history in NYC.
why is it relevant that woody is 0-6? There was a little 0-30 stretch for Leon Hess. At least Woody hired Tangini and doesn't interfere with football decisions, what more do you want from an owner?
I think, like many posters, champ feels it was that Woody brought in Herm in the first place. Some defenders would say that Woody brought in Bradway, who was recommended by Parcells. Bradway then went out and brought in Herm. Regardless, bringing in Herm was a real crapshoot and even Herm haters would have to admit considering his resume..or nonresume, he did better then some would have thought. I guess what some around here will never get is that there are a pretty decent number of guys that despised Herm...and because of that judged their owner on not being able to see what many of the detractors saw...chaos. Easily debateable...but you will never get a herm detractor to come around and see it any other way. Thats the reason you will always see Herm posts. Coming from a poster that has a tough time even hearing his voice, its a flat out waste of time to explain the guy to us.
I was listening to 790 around the city and couldn't be any happier Tuesday morning. Their hosts are pretty good, I think most were fill-ins due to Christmas vacations...But most of the hosts were objective, straight forward guys, and hearing them just PRAISE Mangini and trash Saban was hillarious.
Well - I don't know on this one, really. Champ hasn't been harping *as he used to earlier in the season* for a while now. He seems like a Jets fan to me, just frustrated over the years of ineptitude from the Jets side, maybe. Rather, I'd be looking for Cinvis, Buttle and rajensen088, the troll-trifecta.
I agree. Champ takes a LOT of heat for being stubborn in his views but lately he seems to be on board with Mangini and co. I can kind of understand where Champ is always coming from because my father is the exact same way... every time I read a Champ post I feel like I'm listening to my father. When the Jets hired Herm my father told me we're doomed and have to wait three years before we can even begin to get excited. I told my father he was crazy... five years later I too was begging for a change. Even my dad is onboard with Mangini now... which I find amazing, because it seems like the only other coaches in Jets history that he has liked are Parcells and Michaels... So basically, take it easy on the Champ... though many hate his stubbornness, this guy has always been here, and he bleeds green just as deep as the rest of us.
If Leon was still the owner you could take it to the bank that I would be stating that in my signature. Why does it bother you that that statement about Woody is in my signature when it is TRUE which hopefully you are aware of
Not think KNOW that Bradway had to ask Woody for his OK to hire the Herm since Woody is Bradways boss & it is Woody team so I am sure that Woody said OK before Bway gave the Herm the OK
Yes it was terrific hearing him tell the dolfans that they to have gone nowhere for 30 some odd years. Having him extol Man vs Saban was priceless. Today he is going to compare that the Dolphins have done nothing cause they to have not won a SB in 30 some odd years
