I swear I watched this video 10 times a day for the whole following week and used it as a pick-me-up randomly for the next few years..
That was such a great moment. I really thought that was the moment that the Jets had finally arrived as contenders. Little did I know...
This was the last time the Jets made the playoffs. It's also the same time I moved to Florida. 10 Years... I'm not leaving Florida though...
What I remember most from that game is how our defenders were able to cover the Pats receivers so well that Brady got sacked a few times without immediate pressure. And the first play after Phil Simms said something like, "Somebody's gotta make a play to stop this drive," David Harris picked off a Brady pass and took it deep into Patriots territory.
Not only didn't Harris score, but the Jets drive ended with a missed field goal. The interception was still a great moment, though.
I loved that game. Hopefully the team 30 minutes down the highway can give me that happiness in a few hours.
One of the rare moments I was beaming proud to be a Jets fan The Dennis Byrd game in Buffalo. The Flashlight Game. Beating the Giants in the regular season a few times...and this
Man @abyzmul this brings back all sorts of mixed emotions. The Jets march into Foxborough and destroy the 1 seed pats. Only to lay a big fat turd the following week in Pittsburgh. It was the ultimate high and low but beating the pats was fucking awesome.
Seriously. Imagine if the Sanchize managed to beat three HOF quarterbacks in the same postseason. I believe he's the only one to ever beat Peyton and Brady in the same one. What an easy road those fucks in Pittsburgh got because of us.
Same. They seemed like they were destined, they beat Peyton and the Colts on the road in the WC, Brady and the Pats on the road in the divisional round, all they had to do was FUCKING TACKLE ROETHLISBERGER on that last drive and they would have had a chance to drive and take the lead. That was the same season that Green Bay was gifted a 9-0 win over the Jets by getting a couple of "interceptions" that were basically ripped out of the hands of players that were already down. The Jets could have done alright in the SB against Green Bay.
Jets unfortunately will always be my #1. I wish I could change it, but my heart is where it is. I grew up with the Packers though, and have been to Lambeau many times. If it doesn't affect the Jets, I will always root for the Pack.
