I want to show my appreciation for Adam Gase. He single-handedly turned this team around by getting Douglas hired as GM. Thank you Adam!
Gase not a fan of other jet players! Numerous. They are either gone or languished until gone! He had same habit in Miami! Terrible, and usually gets his way. So now we can throw Darnold in that heap. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This is literally what we have all wanted.. Fire Gase. Let JD pick his OWN guy and run the show. If the owners want to sit in on the meetings, fine. But it needs to be JD's decision. LETS GO
Of course Gase will be let go. Every GM wants to hire his own HC. As far as a decision on Sam it will go right up to the draft. The organization will know but the Jets will keep it private to see the best offers. If they say they are keeping Sam than no team has to bid for the second pick. Atlanta will take a QB at #3. Everything we hear in the next few months is rumor. Unless Joe Douglas says it don't believe it.
I can’t hardly wait. Worst year ever. I have been part of TGG for many years and enjoyed the variety of view points many of the top posters here provide. Insightful, fair and far more technical that the NY rags. Different viewpoints agreeing to disagree on how to make the team better . Yet I can’t recall a single time where unanimously, to a member, from the most cynical to the biggest sun-shiner, the expectation is unequivocally the same. Gase must go, he was absolutely the wrong man for this job, a move that will go down in history as the worst Jet HC selection ever. If this does not happen mighty soon, as in next Monday, the ownership will loose the majority of the fan base for a long long time. Chris and Woody need to take a back seat and let a knowledgeable NFL leader turn this team round.
LOL way to go.. you are the fastest on the trigger here But I actually think that report is facetious
It could be. It could also be Belichick's massive ego thinking that he can get something out of even the worst coach out there. Teach him the "Patriot Way" (i.e. teach him to cheat) and he'll suddenly see the light and become a great coach. He probably also likes the idea of sticking it to the Jets.
I'm not the type to normally say, "I told you so, but in this case, I will." It hasn't happened yet, but by all signs Douglas is in charge of making the decision on the HC, has already begun contacting agents, and Gase is getting fired next Monday. He will NOT be back as HC. Can we now put all the crazy conspiracy theories and negative drama to bed now and return this forum to some semblance of sanity?
