Ill just ask for one who isn't buried in a olay sheet, and totally unaware of his surroundings, 85 percent of the game. I hope JD pops a blood vessel everytime Gase is asked in a presser about something and his response is "didn't see it" or "I missed it, that's on me." I know I do. You miss everything because you are literally never seen looking at the field.
Do you mean Gase or JD pops a blood vessel? I think you mean Gase rather than JD. Either way, that's BS because popping a blood vessel could cause a stroke or heart attack or cause him to die. That's not cool.
No i mean JD every time he sees Gase on TV and he's buried in his play sheet.. i know coaches look at it a lot, but he never stops and then says he misses things on the field. I don't wish for them to die... its a phrase... The pronoun did make it confusing so i edited the post.
JD will need to hit a home run with 2nd overall. I only see it as 2 options. Trade up for Lawrence (never know with the Jags but a call needs to be made to make sure) OR the more likely option is trading down with Cinci for Sewel or a team that falls in love with Fields. Either way I can’t see us taking either of those players and trading out of 2 is most likely unless JD falls in love with Rousseau and takes him at 2. Gase will be fired. The next coach will have to figure out if he wants Sam or not. I really only think Harbaugh can rebuild him like he did with Alex Smith. If Sam get dealt or cut I’m open to a number of different options. Bieniemy, Riley, Smith, Bates and Salah all interest me.
I really think we need to look long and hard at Wilson at 2. I just don’t see how it makes sense to keep Darnold. We have the chance to reset the QB pay clock. Remember, tagging Darnold is based on prior draft pick so he’s going to have a large salary next year. Coupled with the fact he really hasn’t shown enough.
We have three options 1. Tag and pay Sam and give him weapons 2. Pay a vet but what does that really do? 3. Draft
No, they can re-work Sams' contract and reduce the cost. Maybe attach an incentive that if he beats out the rookie they (hopefully) draft he gets more money, otherwise he gets backup money. What vet are they going to get that would be better than Darnold and be affordable? If they try to get a true #1 veteran QB they're going to have to pay huge money and effectively negate drafting one, but the problem with that is that they're not going to be contending next year anyway so they're going to pay a lot of money for something they can't use. The best route is keep Darnold and rework his contract, and draft a guy as his replacement and let him sit and learn to begin with.
What about Gore? I don't understand your question. Yes, he's been a great RB and I'm glad he got his 16k yards, but he shouldn't be back with the Jets next season, and he shouldn't get a touch next week, but he undoubtedly will because Gase loves him some Gore.
