No way would I give Godwin 60 million for 3 touchdowns. I would rather sigh Robinson for 80 and have twice the production. Robinson with Mims would be dynamic. Edoga needs to bounce off this team. A crash test dummy would be an upgrade.

If you want to make the argument that you'd prefer Robinson a lot more over Godwin, I can rock with it. But touchdowns are not a very good barometer, especially when ignoring any other factors.

Also - I do not believe Robinson will go anywhere without an established quarterback. He has the capability of putting up Stefon Diggs numbers he's just trapped with bad quarterback situations.

Solid job...I just think with our second 1st round pick we should go Olineman or stud wr/te. I do like the players you targeted though in the draft at the skill positions later on.

I’m just putting all my resources into the offense this offseason. Any big contract or premium pick I’m not using on defense.

Also Godwin had missed 5 games and is on a team with a ton of passing options where as Robinson is on a terrible offense but is the only real option and has 6 tds. I like Robinson better for one year but future wise and at that price I think that would be a win for Godwin.

My username is timeless. Even if they win a super bowl it applies.

Seems like a good time to remind everyone we took Ardarius Stewart 5 picks before Godwin.

Not that I blame the Jets for releasing him but we gave Chad Hansen one year. He's been out of the NFL since and is now starting for the Texans and had a 100 yard game in his first game back. Good for that guy.

I agree with everything except the OLb from Tulsa with two sacks this year

If you just look at the stat line, you're right. But he's not really used in solely a pass rushing capacity at all for Tulsa. He plays more off the ball and drops because he's a freak of nature athlete.

He projects to be an edge rusher in the NFL. He's also a brilliant kid who is pre-med and one of those athletes/persons that is excellent at everything they do. He's a culture changer as well for the defense.

Kwity Paye for Michigan might be a better fit if we shift more to an even front. I just love Collins as a player and prospect.

Nice work! The one thing I’m starting to come around on and think it just may be likely is JD taking an edge talent with the Seattle 1st. Obviously it’s early but it seems like there could be some nice edge talent at the end of 1st round.

One thing I’m super excited about having the first pick is besides being able to draft an elite QB prospect is having the 1st pick of each round.I could see JD being very active with the 2nd & 3rd day picks.

It wasn't just the touchdowns I was bringing up. I said Robinson has twice the yards of Godwin. 587 yards for Godwin. 1027 for Robinson.

5 less games player is pretty significant with the stats you are giving.

    Nice detailed write up.

Although I'd consider going harder after two TEs and possibly signing Thuney. Take pressure off Lawrence. I know you opted for Chris Godwin, who is awesome, but I think a strong running game could give Lawrence more confidence and a taste of success. Kind of like Cleveland, where I think the player who took the most pressure off Baker wasn't Jarvis Landry, it was Nick Chubb.

+1. Perriman really showed me something this year. I think we could get him at a value.

I like when posters do these off season mocks and seeing different perspectives. I find this mock kind of conservative but that may very well be in the cards as JD is not the flashy type.....

If I had to nitpick I would say Darnold should fetch more than just a fifth round pick ....

You could opt for the ultra-basic approach I employed. Tell everyone which country you come from and (very helpfully) that you are a Jets fan.

Most likely. If sam is traded, it will be conditional. 4th that moves to a 2nd if sam wins a PO game, etc. Moves to a 1st if Sam wins SB. So basically, a 4th (lol).

For the second pick in the first round there is no way I'd go olb, I would go OLine or WR.
