You can't lay the blame for Adams on JD, the man engineered his own move by being a whiny little bitch and then slagging the whole organisation down, he had no choice but to trade him and the deal by general consensus was we had Seatles pants down and fucked them hard, you can also go on about his sacks all you want but at the end of the day he is meant to be a safety not an LB for as many sacks he gets he has very little INTS, he was a great player but a horrible human as is so often the way. What we might get is a very good WR to go with a potential FQB, there are difference makers all over the draft board, you just have to be savvy enough to know which ones are which. I was bored so I looked briefly at the Phins draft from last year Rd. 1 - 05 Tua Tagovailoa QB = Starter probably a solid QB Rd. 1 - 18 Austin Jackson OT = starter Rd. 1 - 30 Noah Igbinoghene CB = 8 tackles in 12 games no INTS Rd. 2 - 39 Robert Hunt G = starter Rd. 2 - 56 Raekwon Davis DT = starter 25 tackles 0 sacks Rd. 3 - 70 Brandon Jones S = in use but not starter 40 tackles comb, 1 sack, 1 pdef Rd. 4 - 111 Soloman Kindley G = starter Rd. 5 - 154 Jason Strowbridge DE = 1 tackle Rd. 5 - 164 Curtis Weaver DE = waived Rd. 6 - 185 Blake Ferguson LS = long snapper Rd. 7 - 246 Malcolm Perry RB/WR = pass catching back 7 for 62 across 5 games They were good bar a couple in Weaver and Strowbridge, how they have actually played is a different matter as I haven't watched them bar our games against them.
For what it's worth I don't think the Dolphins young offensive lineman have been particularly impressive. I know the sack numbers aren't that bad but I think a lot of that is attributes to Fitzpatrick running around like a madman and Chan Gailey's WCO. They're near the bottom of the league in rushing and everytime I see them play I feel like Austin Jackson is getting a holding penalty. That corner from Auburn they took was considered a massive reach too. Could end up being a good player though.
Fair enough, as I said it was just a quick click and search to see about the claim that they had drafted well, at a quick glance it appeared they got plenty of starters ( something we barely achieve lol) but it is good to see that it was just on the surface and after digging it wasn't as first appeared. Also, for what it's worth I am not that keen on the QB either, maybe a good solid QB is his ceiling.
Dude, you are freaking clueless. You don't deserve Douglas or the great team that he is going to build.
Spot on NC. I tossed with the idea of a response to him , but stopped reading after the first two lines, downplaying our so called good draft versus Miami’s great draft. Clueless indeed. Finding a FLT, a top tier WR, arguable a top three punter in the league as a rookie, a steal of a CB....I give up. JA did not want to be here, and JD like all great GMs was not going to hurt the team to please JA, a very good safety but a trouble child in the making. The two picks could potentially do wonders in positions of higher need.
Thanks. You can't pay a SS what Adams wants, either. He's a great player vs the run and in rushing the passer, but not so much in coverage, and is a whiner and complainer, and you don't need that.
Gase has run players off this team too. So he has issues dealing with guys like Bell, Anderson, Adams.
I'm not crowning him, I'm just stating my belief that he is going to be a very good, if not great GM. I really and truly believe it. If I didn't, I wouldn't be here now. With his background and what we've seen from his first draft, with his approach to FA, to how he handled things prior to the trade deadline this fall, that belief has become cemented for me. I readily admit that I could be wrong. It's happened before with the Jets, and if I stick around, will probably happen again. If I'm wrong about Douglas, then it's simple for me, I walk away, because if we don't have a good GM who can build our team through the draft, then we're doomed to just keep repeating the same mistakes over and over.
Pure dominance in the run game by Mt Becton. Btw him and Elflein look pretty solid on the left side of that line.
I thought Elflein had a good game but i read an article on here that he got an awful grade 4th worse G of the round, allowing 4 pressures?
Yeah his grade on pass blocking was something like 13%. That's probably why he was released by Minnesota. He may be a good run blocker, but he sucks at pass protection.
Yes, it is an either-or situation, we certainly excelled at the running game with him in as well it seems.
That’s interesting Denzel made that list. I’m kinda shocked because Jeudy, Ruggs and Claypool have impressed. Good on him though he looks good. Really smooth player . Reminds me of AJ Green a little bit.
