There will be a huge number of Jets fans exiting if Gase is back. This forum could be a ghost town next year.
I think it is unlikely the virus is under control in 2021. 2022 we have a reasonable but by no means guaranteed shot. China and Russia have both shut down their African vaccine trials at the moment due to horrific individual outcomes. For a vaccine trial to get shut down in the third world it means somebody grew an extra head or something like that. It is easy to make the publicity around vaccine trials in those places go away with a little well-plied money. When news gets out? Well that's an indication something went very wrong.
not true, there's a plan set in place months ago for 300 million doses to be ready to go by the end of the year. It's going to be a 2-dose shot 28 days apart https://www.hhs.gov/about/news/2020...-produce-millions-doses-covid-19-vaccine.html most important thing is the emergency FDA approval so they are going through the phase 3 data now, but they are ready to go and have been pumping out vials for a while even before they knew the phase 3 results
If number 2 was to occur, after a lifetime of support and loyalty, this franchise will become dead to me. Chris Johnson needs to move as far away from a decision role as it is humanly possible.
Didn’t you hear Cuomo, we need to wait for Biden to get in office first because any plan to distribute from the Trump administration is going to be flawed? How about Biden’s COVID advisor saying we should give the vaccine to other countries before Americans. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/biden-coronavirus-adviser-emanuel-vaccine-distribution The most challenging aspect of the Pfizer Vaccine is that it will need to be kept at -90 degrees, which may put some limits on where it can be shipped and kept before administering.
Apparently they figured out a working system, they just need to scale it up. Probably open up a dry ice factory
All those who have assumed, or are counting on, Gase being fired, read his "report card" and understand this is the beginning of the PR effort to make his retention palatable: https://nypost.com/2020/11/22/jets-report-card-adam-gase-is-doing-something-right/ Repeat: unti he's fired he's still the HC.
A stadium half full of booing fans with bags over their heads would go a long way that’s why these empty stadiums suck the Johnsons need to really FEEL the hatred
Gase will probably have to go due to fan pressure. However, don’t underestimate the narrative of the rebuild year and Gase having several key pieces traded away during the season. I would not be totally surprised if he’s retained. It’s only the embarrassing end-of-season W-L record that will end his tenure.
I agree. I too won’t be surprised if he’s retain. Still 6 games left and lot can change. It would be embarrassing if they finish 0-16 or 1-15 and justify Gase returning where the team has the worst Points differential in NFL and ahead the next team by almost 60 points! It’s not about potential working with QB and offense the team is in trouble in all areas of the game. Poorly managed and executed
Do U really really thinks the Johnsons care if fans use this forum. Cmon man the johnson only care is getting more green bucks in there pockets
The only reason the Johnsons would not fire Gase at the end of the year is because they are greedy and cheap! They don’t want to be on the hook for another two years of his contract while paying a new HC and staff to start over again. There is no way in the world they believe Adam Gase is the solution to this problem. He will be retained because they don’t want to pay it’s as simple as that, he will be given a third year and fired after that if they don’t get results hence they are on the hook for one year of his contract.
Literally Gase is the worst coach in Jets history, and will go further he is worst coach I have seen in my 50 yrs watching the nfl! And I think I would get majority support on that. That is In coaching total! Why he is still on sideline boggles my mind. It is comedy even to think he is viable, but Jets execs do. What boils my blood, is the part of the solution narrative. It is the most ridiculous comment I have ever heard, he is the problem with this team, he is just that bad. Bad game plans, not prepared to play, no energy, bad penalties, bad game management, no adjustments in game, toxic locker room, ruining a young QB, and roll that in, with being a ahole. He has gotten more than enough chances, all failures. Jets need to quit drinking the kool aid, he is not the solution!!! Like I said he is coach till he is not. There is realistic chance he is here next year. For the love of god, I hope not! I am tired of watching this pathetic mess! This team may be the worst in NFL history! Gase needs to be held accountable for that! In fact hold themselves accountable for hiring him in the first place! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
As Ben Franklin said: "Penny wise; pound foolish". So, save some money - money that they're raking in, that doesn't count against the cap - and allow Gase to continue to ruin high priced talent like Darnold. Yep, the Johnsons are doing the exact oppositie of what a winning franchise owner would do. Mystery solved.
If Gase is retained the backlash will be so strong, It’s hard to see a scenario in which the Johnsons either wouldnt sell or at least move the team sometime after the fact. Thats how universally despised that decision would be
Spot on, Kurt. The national media, local media and fanbase would all be on the Johnsons unmercifully, and rightfully so.
FWIW, Schefter did say Gase wouldn't be the HC next year 2 weeks ago. He's as reliable as they come, so that was encouraging to hear.
