Like I said to you before DWC Will agree to disagree in a year from now when Sam has moved on we’ll see what happens
DWC is saying that he's among our biggest problems, which may actually be true. QB is the most important position in the sport by far and Sam has consistently been among the worst QB's in the NFL. Again, nobody is saying Sam is the ONLY problem. That would be absurd.
Sam was a fumbling machine @ HS (converted LB). Sam was a turnover machine @ USC (INTs and fumbles GALORE). Sam is still a TURNOVER MACHINE @ NFL. He's a bust and I'm sick of him. What's even worse than his on field play is his post game interviews. Cliche. Generic. Fake. Trevor can't come soon enough.
Exactly. But he's the biggest problem and if he weren't? Media pundits across the Country and Jet fans wouldn't be talking "Trevor Lawrence".
I'm not sure how you're not getting the difference between "biggest" problem and "only" problem. You keep saying he's saying "only" when he's saying "biggest". Having your QB be the worst starting QB in the league is in fact a big problem. Probably the biggest.
Sam made Robby look like a #2 at best. Robby Anderson is now a top 5 NFL WR with Teddy. The end. Sam has got to go. He's a bust.
No one cares about high school. There's absolutely nothing impressive about dominating at that level. Plenty of great QBs in high school were shit tier in college. It means nothing to the NFL. No NFL scout has ever uttered the words, "Yea, but did you see what he did in high school?" And Robby Andereson isn't a top 5 WR. He's the #2 receiver on a team that is always behind so they are always passing and has a better WR on the team drawing harder coverage. Why do I bother responding to this troll?
Does it matter at all that our QB is playing on the least talented team in the league? Also playing for the worst coach in the league? Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
It matters but not to the degree people here act like it does. Burrow is behind the worst o line in football and he's lighting it up. He already has more career 300 yard games than Sam does. That's not because his talent is that much better, it's because he's a much better QB. Good QB's make the rest of the team better. Sam never elevates the team around him.
So Adam Gase has no culpability in this huh...Funny I thought a coach was supposed to take advantage of player skill set..... So is it Sam‘s fault that Le’Veon Bell didn’t produce here either?? You Know DWC I actually like most of your post... But on this subject I respectfully disagree with you. Only time will tell who is right On the subject..
Robby ranks #5 in receptions and #2 in receiving yards. All he needed to do was to escape the bust Sam and join Teddy to become an NFL top 5 WR in both receptions and receiving yards.
If their offensive line is the worst - what is ours? Like 31st? And have you seen Cincinnati's receiving group? Have you compared it to ours? Their RB situation to ours? And most importantly they have a coach who actually knows how to design an offense. AJ is quoted as saying this may be one of the best designed offenses that he's ever played in. Compare that to Adam Gase. AG's offense is one of the worst I think I've ever seen in my life. It's not just play calling. Some of the blocking schemes are beyond questionable. The receiver patterns (when he isn't calling for a pass at the line of scrimmage) are all clustered and unbalanced. Sam is a problem. We'll almost certainly move on from him next year no 1 pick or not. But it's not fair to say that anyone else would be doing a better job in this situation. I'm pretty confident that Patrick Mahomes if drafted into this same situation would be labeled a bust if he were drafted into this same situation. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
No - he was able escape the coach who wouldn't feature Robby as a no 1 capable of running a full route tree. Gase misjudged Robbie's abilites and hamstrung him with go routes. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
Not true. Sam couldn't get the ball to Robby Anderson because Sam doesn't have a good deep ball and Sam doesn't know how to read D's pre or post snap. Sam was the problem and Robby never was. Sam over and under threw Robby every single game. That is Sam's fault not Gase's because Landry put up monster #s under Gase.
Young man go back and read DWC post .. now he stated that !! Sam he stated was the number one problem!! It’s not fake news
Re read what I wrote. I didn't say that Robby was the problem. I said that Gase was. Where I'm at is that we KNOW that Gase is our number one problem. He's so bad that we were never given a fair opportunity to judge Sam. Now we can only go off of what we've seen with Sam. Unfortunately that mean Sam needs to go. Me personally though - I'll always wonder "what if". I believe if Sam had a credible coach in his 3 years here he'd be an average QB and we'd be questioning whether or not he could ever be consistent enough to be great.
