Who cares how "perfect" his coverage was if he still got beat by the backup TE with a one legged Garoppolo throwing the ball? The backup TE not exactly a prime Gronk with Brady throwing the pass. Make the play. He was terrible last week that's just telling it like it is. Coming off that type of performance he should expect to see a lot of action this week. We'll see how he bounces back.
What shield? Coach Gase is out there on the front line each & every week taking all the bullets while Douglas and the Johnson bros. are in hiding. There's nowhere for him to hide, nothing to shield him. His best, only shield would be a W at this point.
Well that is what does you down then isn't it, sometimes things are just unstoppable and you can't apportion any blame to the pass coverage if the throw is perfect then your perfect coverage is meaningless, what did you want him to do tug his jersey or just flatten him and have the Zebra's throwing flags everywhere. That backup TE is a highly skilled player that just happens to be made of glass, he is hardly a scrub but a man of your superior game knowledge would know this anyway but it is easier to spout out crap like 'one-legged Garoppolo' than just talk like a normal person. He wasn't terrible, you just think he was, that is the difference, you don't like the player and that is a major fact and makes you see what you want, obviously, you have handed him some praise for week 1, I mean if you didn't you would just look like a foolish berk. I bet you will be watching him like a hawk eh? Pouncing on any error so you can race to inform us all how shit he really is.
What an absolute crock of shit. 'Coach Gase' is making the bullets for people to shoot him, his playcalling is shocking, it seems his coaching is no better and like Bowles, his use of the clock isn't much better, never mind the fact he is still not making plays that suit his fucking QB, running the eternal man up the gut is the sign of a piss poor coach that has run out of ideas if he had any to start with. 'Coach Gase' fuck me.
Maccagnan neglected the OL, had below average drafts, signed FA's to big money deals with little to show for it, selected a project QB in round 2 in 2016, and took two safeties to start off the 2017 draft. He did plenty to warrant his dismissal without Gase's input.
Which I alluded to in my comment. The guy was a total shit show which is why he was ultimately shown the door. Good riddance.
But why suggest that he shouldn't be criticized? That's part of the job. The players are in a unique position to judge the quality of their practices, among other things.
Mr. Big Mouth whiffed on a TD saving tackle at the goal line today. It looked like he stuck out his elbow going for the RB's knee as he flew by.
NFL is the big boys league where they play for pay. He's responsible for his own crummy play. If he's gonna talk the talk he better walk the walk.
damn right! Reminded me of a combo of Brodney Pool getting run over and cromartie on the Shona Greene run.
Jamal Adams left the game yesterday with a strained groin. His replacement was an undrafted third year player elevated from the practice squad that morning. That player made the INT to clinch the game. Wonder if he's going to demand $17 mil per year or demand a trade.
