Jets wearing white on white tomorrow. Kittle out. I am starting to get optimistic again....... Why do I do this to myself? Go Jets!
With SF banged up, we might actually have a chance to keep this game tight... IF we had a functioning offense. But for the time being, we don't. Sorry, DK. Replacement-level players all over the field, no chemistry, and a skittish QB. It's going to be ugly.
Wasn't It always an injury excuse with Gase in Miami too? Obviously I don't follow the Phins religiously enough to say for certain but I could've swore that a major issue for him as well In Miami... Coincidence? I doubt it.
I disagree with previous Posts.. I was a Jimmy G fan and Idzik let him walk to New England Hes had better Coaching than Sam and its gonna show on Sunday To Contrails point , yeah you cant force guys to lose games if they dont like the coach but OTOH CJ will not give in and eat his words about how great Gase is until the reality of Losing smacks the dumbass in the face and he is forced to dump our HC
Darnold and offense have to be nearly perfect. Defense has to prevent big plays. Gase has to coach his best game. Obviously it is non impossible. 49ers 7 point favorite on the road and were something like 8-1 vs non winning record teams. Got to play the game. Could be ugly. Could be shocking.
Dee Ford out. We need to do some ground and pound with Gore. Use up tempo for Sam, roll outs etc. Cmon Mr. Genius Gase, I can even figure this out. Has Ashtyn Davis ever played offense? Can use him as a decoy if anything. 49ers with a Superbowl hangover? One piece of advice for Sam: throw it into the dirt if the play is not there and no throwing into triple coverage.
I just listened to Greg Williams press conference. He stated that the reason for the poor tackling of Josh Allen was due to restrictions with contact during training camp. Should be improved after a week of live action.
Perfect football weather. Miss my tailgate boys. I believe the Jets will show up tough today. No matter the outcome end the game with your head held high knowing you put in your maximum effort for yourselves, your teammates, and your fans. GO JETS!
I actually think this is going to be a good game because of how the teams match up. The jets are bad but the one thing they do well is stop the run. That’s really all San Fran can do on offense. They don’t have Kittle or Deebo to threaten in the pass game. If the jets can stop the run, I don’t think Garoppolo will be able to do much throwing the ball. All the jets would need to do is find a way to score points on offense, which I know is tough, but Sherman is also out for San Fran. I can see this being a really close game, and the match up is such that I wouldn’t be shocked if the jets pull it out.
For the first time since I was like 8 or 9 I won't be watching a Jets game. Placed a 5 pick $200 for $4100 on Steelers, Packers, Ravens, Chiefs and Lakers. All RL bought 0 pts on any game. @ the age of 35 I'm more interested in rooting for money than I am watching my Jets frustrate me every Sunday. Win today and I'll go back and re watch the game and jump back on the wagon but as of right now I'm disgusted with them our defense stinks without Jamal and our offense still has 0 weapons. Not watching.
Dude. I think twice even when I bet $20 on a parlay. How come you bet $200 on a 5 game parlay. Don't even respond. What bothered me about your post is that as a die hard fan you chose not to watch Jets. I believe tons of Jet fans are in the same boat. @Cman65 - Boss, any plans to go fishing or are you watching?
I'm not expecting the Jets to win this one or even keep it close but this is exactly the type of game that if the Jets were to find a way to win it could turn around their season. I hope I don't see more of what I saw last week it's one thing to be bad but bad & boring woof that's a deadly combo. The upcoming schedule after this one doesn't look killer Colts, Broncos, Cardinals, Chargers far from unbeatable teams. No excuse for this team to start off 0-7 like 2019. It's just too bad they don't have the Flacco option to turn to until at least week 7. Let's hope it doesn't get to that point.
Betting $200 because playing with house money. Put $20 on a 4 team yesterday for $222. It's a 2 piece combo for me. Win small and go for big. But yeah. I'll watch the game on my cell phone but the two 1:00 gms on both tvs will be Steelers on left side and GB on right side. Those are the only two games I'll have my hopes on emotionally. As a kid dreamed of Jets win or lose every game would feel like Christmas Eve until kickoff. Back in 2009 2010 I was loving posting with my user name. Between my Jets D being awful talent wise for me now Sam Darnold a kid I thought would become greatness for us and now surrounded by less talent than even Sanchez year 3 when stripped of weapons on top of that lol I'm not even able to post long posts about MY JETS here on TGG without getting suspended and warned thru inbox all the time about limiting my post character between all of the above easy to talk about my fan enjoyment and my lack of fun these days after as a Jet fan I've been attacked for once being a homer and passionate writer about my Jets and benched because of it guess the jets not as fun for me as once was team wise or fan wise consider me a man who no longer gives a fk about the Jets losing its pointless to waste my energy anymore win or lose I'll be happy if all the teams I picked win. If not. At least I don't have to see Darnold get destroyed or look like crap because of the Jets and that's Worth the gamble itself.
I am feeling something like 45 - 6 Maybe a special teams play or turnovers get us close enough for a couple of field goals.
This game has been hanging like a pit of dread in my stomach all week. Yet this morning I woke up with a new shine of hope. It doesn't make any sense because I dont think the Jets have much of a chance. But I have a habit of diluding myself with hope on game day. Anyhow at the very least this is what I hope to see: The team plays more disciplined and cuts out the stupid penalties. Stupid penalties on both sides of the ball hurt us in key situations last week. At the very least I'd like to see that cleaned up. Doesn't seem like too much to ask. In addition I want to see Sam playing confident. Even if his play isn't great, which is likely against niners front 7 and our lack of weapons, but can we see the confidence of a leader. Can we see him trust the o-line and make accurate throws when he needs to. That would give me some hope that last week was offseason rust and a lack of preparation. Some keys to a magical wishful thinking win: -Like I mentioned before - no stupid penalties. -Getting off to a fast start could help us a lot. This game will be so much easier to control if we can play with a lead, or at least play even in the first half. Force them out of their comfort zone in the second half. -Take chances on 4th down. Take chances with deep routes. Especially to get said early lead. This will only work if our offense looks like it had some form of chemistry. But if they do - take some chances. -They have a great o-line so getting pressure on JimmyG will be tough. Williams needs to have a plan for this (and probably does). If we can generate even modest pressure it will really play in our favor. Odds are I'll be here at the end of the day ranting about our lack of everything good. But until then GO JETS!
