I agree. I'm very excited yet at the same time apprehensive about what we'll begin to find out in a couple of hours. I know it's not a ideal situation for Darnold but enough excuses overcome adversity get the job done, make his teammates better. If Becton & Darnold prove to be the answers the Jets will be in a great place. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I sure hope no one is basing their opinion of Darnold off game 1 in a season that had half a training camp and no preseason with a mostly new OL, no receivers and a bad coach... I believe in Darnold 10000% but it’s not going to be pretty today, next week or really any time until maybe mid October. Flashes yes, but there will be no groove any time soon.
Of course not, half-way into the season the truth will be out there, Darnold is entering his third year.

I am most interested in seeing Ashtyn Davis as I believe he can be a Tyrann Mattieu type of talent but time will tell. He has a great feel for the game and an inspiring personal story.

Alright I wasn’t that excited until I rolled out bed this morning, cracked open a Bud Light, and fired up the grill. Jets win 21-17 as Darnold throws 3 touchdowns. Let’s gooooo!!!!!
