Allen also came out and said he wants to run less this year. I sincerely hope he does. His scrambles save a lot of his performances from being really ugly.

But where is this love affair? From Bills fans? Id certianly hope thats the case. Again, objectively, from reading here some posters seem to act as if sam walks on water. Its not realistic to think otherwise in a sense as your teams hopes and dreams are wrapped up in your qb, just as ours are. What is odd to me however, although again, understandable, is the seemingly closed mindedness that if the bills win or have a successful season that itll be inspite of allen. That chapter just hasnt been written yet. No matter how fans want to try and justify it - joe schmoe fan just cant know. Sure, they are entitled to an opinion but imo anyone working themselves into a tizzy saying one is better than the other or ones success is more a product of being on a good team - at this point - is just trying to make themselves feel better. Getting mad at one qb getting more love or positive attn than the other at this point is a fools errand. Let it play out at least another year before we start making proclamations
Josh Allen last 10 games of 2019 - 15 passing touchdowns 2 interceptions 2 fumbles + 6 rushing touchdowns. 21 touchdowns and only 4 turnovers......he was a huge part of that 10-6 season(10-4 in games he started and finished). Stop underselling the kid......he can play in the NFL.
You could have plugged in any QB in on that team last year and they win 10 games. The sad part is that they only won 10 games when the schedule was a complete joke. Allen was ranked 24th in QB rating and if you want to use that shitty ESPN metric he was ranked even worse at 25 (Only slightly ahead of Darnold in both and look at the hands each player was dealt). That team was so good last year with a cupcake schedule to only win 10 games is a joke. There are 20 other QBs in the league that if you put on that roster probably win a playoff game and maybe more..

I'm mind blown that someone who knows the game as well as you can say that because Dan Marino doesn't have a ring he isn't a better than the QBs I mentioned above. I don’t know what the confusion is. Fitz (like on the Dolphins) is good enough to raise your team from complete garbage to at least irrelevant. Jets fans thought the guy was God that one year in NY and he’s not. He can never be that guy. He’ll throw an int in the 4th quarter and lose the game. He will have nice stretches though. Not a guy you build around but he can win you some games enough to be tough
I’d love him as a backup, except for the fact that once Fitz is the backup QB the starter always and I mean always gets injured/benched and Fitz starts more than half the season.

It's like they put something in the water up there. 2012 Fitz on the Bills: "In fact, he was statistically the best QB in the league last year when that happened (and that's not an exaggeration)." 2015 Fitz on the Jets: "He's still garbage, just saying he's much better than Sanchez. No one here is arguing that they both don't suck." 2020 Fitz on the Phins: "Fitz is a pretty good QB" So he went from statistically the best, to garbage, and then back up to pretty good. Is that a pretty good characterization of your Fitz view?
Allen v Darnold. Well darnold doesn’t have the wheels that Allen has. That’s a given. But Darnold is capable of big passing games like the Dallas and Washington games last year. Allen just doesn’t have it in him. never threw for more than 266 yards in a game. once the wheels on Allen go (and they will) we shall see his deficient arm on display. wont be a happy time for bills fans. Darnold’s been dealt a seven-high, but let’s not pretend like Allen’s been dealt a Full House his first two years. Far from it. This year is his make or break. No excuses.
