If you’re focusing on the one line in between the two camp report tweets then that’s a “you” issue. We’ll all be fine, I promise.
No, it is a sick of reading people bitching about a WR we didn't draft over a LT we did draft. It is done and dusted, after a hard days work I can't be arsed to keep reading the same bitchy comments all the time, snide digs etc. It isn't like you can avoid them as they pop up in all threads. Again no problem with you or your other posts, as they are usually good reads, just not sure why you have felt the need to up your game on the WR cheerleading and OL bashing front all of a sudden.
I remember when I wanted the Jets to draft him over Leonard Williams. There's some kind of joke in there I just don't know what. Choose your own adventure really.
Because it was a joke in between two reports about training camp in the training camp thread. I didn't think it was all that harmful. Don't be soft like our OL, be strong like CeeDee Lamb and Jerry Jeudy.
I'll be shocked if Bless is not our #1 CB by end of season. Heard anything about Zuniga? Was he out there today?
https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/08/20/jets-working-out-kevin-white/ Jets working out Kevin White Posted by Charean Williams on August 20, 2020, 5:43 PM EDT The Jets worked out Chris Hogan and signed him. They worked out Donte Moncrief and didn’t sign him. They now are working out free agent Kevin White, Field Yates of ESPN reports, as they continue to seek receiver help. The Jets have Denzel Mims nursing a hamstring injury and Vyncint Smith requiring core muscle surgery. White makes sense considering he has crossed paths with General Manager Joe Douglas, coach Adam Gase and offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains. White, the seventh overall choice in 2015, has seen his career derailed by injuries. He has only 25 receptions for 285 yards in 14 games with five starts. ***** More importantly, there's a great video here talking about Becton, the Jets' OL, and how JD is building the team.
On another note - Arthur Maulet was solid last year and I hope he makes the team. Solid enough tackler for a corner and always pretty close to he receiver. He got ate up by the Bengals big receivers but other than that he's a decent depth player.
About this OL vs WR debate, I'm sure that Douglas is aware that the WR group is weak, but felt that overhauling the woeful OL was priority number 1. If the OL was in decent shape, it would've been a no brainer to grab Jeudy or Lamb in round 1. There are a few valid reasons for him not taking a second WR in this year's draft. First, it's not ideal to break in two rookie WR's in the same season. Second, Joe might be planning on taking a WR early in the 2021 draft who will likely make an impact on day 1 and can form a formidable duo with Mims. Third, there were other areas of the roster to address such as IOL, Edge, and CB. And finally, maybe none of the WR's fit what the CS is looking for. I'll wait until the conclusion of day 2 of the 2021 draft before deciding whether or not Douglas and Co value the WR position.
He needs to be re-signed.HES the team first lead by example type of leader Jamal always touted himself as but could never deliver bc of selfishness. Send a message to the team that good behavior & consistent play is rewarded. Marcus Maye is a TRUE JET
I respect the work ethic and find his self confidence uplifting but why announce it to the world like this? Why now before he's established himself at the NFL level? By doing it this way he's just putting a bullseye on his back for every OC and offense on the schedule. He should let his play do the talking.
I'm surpised at how positive the reports from this training camp have been so far. It's still early but it looks like they think this team can contend for a playoff spot this year.
they tagged him in a way that if a team didn't sign him by july 22nd then he gets a 1 year deal for 4 mil with the giants. had a team signed him, the giants get nothing. it was a smart move by gettleman. they got him back for 4 mil becuase nobody wanted him. I have no idea why JD didn't give him 5 mil for 1 year to bookend with jenkins. golden is way better then the JAGs we have opposite jenkins.
he has the quickness. like anything route running is an art. Antonio brown is one of those guys that greatly improved his from good to elite and became the best WR in the NFL for a few years. it's one of the reasons WRs usually develop slowly. becuase they get by on size and speed in college and never learn proper route running
