The best I could ever figure out (and really, the only other explanation for this kind of drivel), is that they have no other current, relevant information to give us, so they have to resort to that nonsense. It's embarassing, it really is. Christ, I'd rather have them go into weather patterns as they relate to performance of each team. As somewhat off the wall as this is, at least you can sink your teeth into SOMETHING relevent. Telling me how many yards Dan Marino got with Duper and Clayton and then trying to somehow make it seem like that's relevent to Monday night's game is just plain ludicrous.
Oh I am sure you will see the Miami spike play several times on Monday. Both pre & just before the game by the 3 headed monster. We may the say the WW catch once of or twice in the the 51-45 game & you can expect to see a gew times the JE catch in the MNM game. All have no revelance to the game that will be played on Monday nite, Now if they show Penny under the gun or the Schobel plays vs Brick now that may have some affect on the game
Same ole jets ain't going anywhere until the Jets win an AFC championship. The evidence? They've done everything but win an AFC championship over the last 35 years and we still talk about same ole jets when something goes wrong.
Thanks & Happy Hoildays to the only Admin that has FB smarts on this forum. You may have not have realized that I was always with you which is the final goal of winning a championship. Now that the dummy is practicing his medicine in KC & it appears the hiring of Man & Tan may be the right guys I have hope that the future is far brighter then the past when the dummy was at the helm. I truly hope that Penny is lites out in this game as I feel this is his signature game.
Funny, but doesn't it seem like every QB that goes on to become a factor in this league as a moment like this? Peyton Manning still has to come thru. Brady has his SB moments. Marino, Elway, Montana, all the great ones had their moment. Pennington has Christmas Night, 2006 to shine "under the lights". Lets hope that Pennington, the CS and this entire team is up for the challenge. Moments like these don't come very often for the Jets...
Yes but cause we drafted KC after Culter & Leinhart IMHO this is Penny do or die game for us especially if he folds under pressure
Moments like what? We have been to the playoffs 3 out of the last 5 years. We have had some moments, just didn't do enough with them. We can hope this year can be different, but we are a longshot to win it all.
It truly is a great time for the Jets. I've said this before... I just want them to play well on Christmas. If they should lose over some weird bounce or bad call that's one thing, but please, no meltdowns and embarrassing Keystone Cops impersonations. I really do have a good feeling about this one though. Schottenheimer is probably one of the best decisions Mangini has made as a HC and I think he'll be the difference.
Yes I fully agree if they lose cause of some crazy bounce or tip ball that is OK but if they are TOTALLY outplayed then I will be very disappointed especially if Chad collapses under the pressure
Oakland has nothing to play for other than a draft pick. Don't be suprised if they don't bring their A game so they can get Quinn in the Draft.
Pennington's most memorable "under the lights" game for me was the great game he had against the Steelers at Three Rivers. It was only because Herm played not to lose and set up the Doug Brien fiasco that Penny didn't pull that one out as a win. He moved the chains pretty well and our DEF bitch-slapped Rothlisberger within an inch of his life. Penny needs to remember how well he did in that game and maintain his composure. Most of all, we need to make Harrington beat us (and not beat ourselves). He won't be able to do that and we'll win with that strategy. Jets 20 Dolphins 16
