Mud Bowl. Living in S FL and attending high school when that game occurred and dealing with DBag fin fans really sucked...
Coulda, woulda shoulda Balt could not cope with JWN quick release & the Colt DL was advertised in the press as murderous row but JWN was just quicker then there DL
Wasn't it JoJo Townsell? Thats what my aging brain remembers anyway. Looked iffy but we got the play of an a couple of plays later OB hit Walker with another bomb of a TD What a game!
We were cruising along, had the best record in football at the time, were 9-1 after that game. Then 10-1 Then a 5 game losing streak heading into the playoffs, OBs benching and Cleveland. Worse than all of this the Giants get on a roll, get to the SB that should have been ours and win their first SB.
Sorry another coulda woulda shoulda U do not have the foggiest idea which makes your post pure BS IMHO
I’m pretty sure it was Michael Harper but I could be wrong......I remember the end zone celebration after the Walker TD and and the back of Shula trudging off the field shaking his head lol
“If I’m remembered for anything, I hope it’s for playing within the rules,” he (Shula) said. “I also hope it will be said that my teams showed class and dignity in victory or defeat.” Mud Bowl 1983. What a friggen hypocrite!
Just seeing Marino and Shula roll out there year after year from the time I was around 7 all the way until after I graduated college. Always viewed them as our true, loathsome archrival.
Well.....they never won the big one. That takes me back to a joke from years ago. Somebody takes their box of cigarettes , turns it upside down, and lifts the thin plastic wrapping up so it creates a space between it and the bottom of the actual box. " What's this ?" I shrug. "Dan Marino's trophy case"...….LOL
They didn't have to win the big one. They always stood in the Jets way and were always a major pain in our side. I took great pleasure in beating those two smug bastards.
I hated them too but the Jets were just as much a thorn in their sides......and to this day those dimwitted fans get pissed when reminded Marino never did win the big one.....
Sure he didn't win one but at least they went to a SB with Marino and provided the only loss to one of the most dominating teams of all-time in the '85 Bears. They were more relevant than the Jets during those years and they were our Evil empire.
Absolutely nothing I wrote says, or hints at would any of this. I dont have the foggiest idea? WTF is the matter with you? What kind of shitty, fucking response was this? I brought up their 5 game losing streak and the the Giants won, making it worse. Dont like it, think its BS (in your own opinion, sic)? Really, then dont respond troll You really are garbage, aren't you
You do realize he's in his 80s! Not that it changed how he was in his 30s! Don't let it get to you! He's just part of the landscape like that houseplant on Aunt Bertha's windowsill that she always forgets to water! It's half dead but she keeps it around! Who know why! Signed, -Mrs. championjets69
