We absolutely fleeced N.E too. They used their 3rd round pick (from us) on a no name TE Dalton Keene from Virginia Tech who check this out... Only recorded throughout 3 years a career 59 receptions, only 748 receiving yards and 8 career TD's lol. Last year 2019? HA! Only 21 catches, for only 240 receiving yards and only 5 TD's (2019). At first I was pissed off trading with N.E thinking they'll somehow someway find their next Tom Brady. Nope. They went with a JAG TE who throughout 10 games last year actually had disappearing act's consisting of 0 catches, 1 catch, 1 catch, 1 catch. 1 catch, 2 catches and 2 catches. He's the Anthony Stone Hands Becht of this years draft class and by far the worst pick of any team throughout this draft thus far. N.E is dead people. So desperate they'll even trade up with the Jets to draft a non impact TE while giving us another two 4th rounders. They are done. Stick a fork in them.
This is a great trade, especially if Douglas wasn't in love with anyone who was on the board. Two fourth rounders plus a 6th rounder next year that we can use as draft capital to trade.
Not a chance. Gronk played 2 seasons of college ball and recorded 75 receptions for 1,197 receiving yards and 16 TD receptions (22 games). This jag Dalton Keene only recorded throughout 3 seasons... 59 receptions for 748 receiving yards and 8 TD receptions (27 games). You can not even compare the two as apples to oranges. Gronk also had much better size than this kid which made Gronk a real X-Factor. Not only that, but it'll become hard to become the next Gronk 2.0 with JAG QB's such as career journeyman in Hoyer and Jarrett Stidham (who stinks). And keep in mind. Bill is almost 70 years old. He's a defensive X's and O's guy. He's not a Offensive Mastermind who can turn offensive grapes into All-Pro Wine.
Yes. We should walk away with one of either Curtis Weaver (Edge), Bryce Hall (CB), Prince Tega Wanogho (OT), Tyler Biadasz (C) or Donovan Peoples-Jones! (WR). We have three (3) 4th round picks. One (1) 5th round pick and Two (2) 6th round picks. I'd trade our 5th round pick and our two 6th round picks and ever one of our 4th round picks (in order to make sure that we leave round 4 with at least 2 of those 5 players mentioned) because round 4 is a sweet spot of this draft (before the talent falls off a cliff come the 5th/6th/7th).
Pats out here flippantly drafting D2 players like they still have the GOAT qb to cover up their mistakes. JD showing no fear making a deal with the diminished rivals.
Mid rounds of the draft are a crapshoot. Acquire as many picks as you can and hope a couple darts hit the target. JD has already added 2 extra picks in next years draft (5th and 6th round). Absolutely love this approach.
Offer 2 of the 4th rounders to Washington for Trent Williams. He can play left tackle and Becton right tackle for his rookie year. That’s a beast offensive line. You could run Bell 30 times a game with those run blockers
