But you in your sig say the Jets will never win a SB while Woody is the owner, last I checked woody is our owner and will be for at least as long as mangini is here. how can we win a SB w/ mangini if woody is still here?

 

Why be a fan if you can't have faith in your team? We are so close....why bother have doubts now. Lets just stay hyped up that we are in this position in the first place and that we have a team that is in control of its own destiny.

You can't amend it, that has always been your position. You can't say "the Jets will never, ever win a SB w/ Woody as owner...until they win". You have been using that phrase for years and you are stuck w/ it.

 

it could be: "THE NYJs WILL MAYBE/POSSIBLY WIN A SB WITH WOODY AS THE OWNER. WOODY IS NOW 0-6 IN BRINGING A CHAMPIONSHIP TO HEMPSTEAD." Which allows for hope, but reflects the record to date.

 

Then your sign should have read the NY Jets will never, ever win a Sb w/ HERM not w/ Woody. Too late, you screwed up again just like when you didn't think we could have success w/ Herm just like the BIHW days, all you have to do is say I was wrong and move on and we'll be done w/ it but i'm sure you won't.

 

Well, if he changes it that means he no longer believes what he said is right. People are allowed to change their minds based on new evidence! JUSTICE! FREE THE CHAMP ONE!!!

Herm SUCKS. Hate to break the news, he coached a team molded from the Parcells era and honestly underachieved. If a coach like mangini took the team over... a coach who plays by talent and not payroll, and doesn't have to wear a Casio to tell time... we would have made an appearance to the SB. Herm started his tenure on the surface... then gradually dug himself in a hole he couldn't climb out of and bailed on us. He is going to do the same thing to the KC franchise, you watch. I'm just happy we have a coach who knows what the hell hes doing to dig us out of the shit Herm put us in. Support the guy all you want... he took over a talented team and underachieved.

But junc, you have to admit, if an owner hires a head coach who never ever called a play, timeout etc in his life..hiring Herm was a very unprofessional move on the part of Woody.

Now you might feel Herm came here and did a decent job. Others can easily state that during Herms 5 year tenure, it was the most chaotic gameday period the Jets have ever seen. Champs point and those that never liked Herm think that nobody should be suprised.

How anyone would think a person with Herms backround in coaching could come in and actually be able to manage a game without even coaching a nuns flag football team is beyond belief.

Thats who Woody put in charge of an NFL franchise.

Whether you like the job he did or not, the hiring of Herm was a HUGE gamble. Any sceptic could easily come to the conclusion that, at the time, we had an owner that just didnt understand how to build a team from top..to bottom.

 

I dunno about 1 year, next year if hes unsuccessful then I do see them going in another direction.
