You’re saying this like I’m not aware of it. I’m very well aware. I’m very much on board with building through the draft. I’m also very much on board with having great players. Mosley is a great player, and I have absolutely no regrets about us signing him. If he had gone back to the Ravens for a few mil less, would you be asking why they did that and saying it’s not logical? I know they are much farther along than we are, so I don’t need the lesson. Guess what? When we give Adams the highest contract for a safety, I’m going to be 100% in support of it. Bell is a totally different story. Again I have no issues spending to get good players. Had we known what we know now about our head coach, I would have said fuck it, let’s draft one and not even think twice. But again I don’t need a lesson on how to build a team. Remember this all stems from me saying I probably would give up two picks for a top tier CB. Not definitely. I didn’t claim we were stupid not to. I didn’t foam at the mouth the second I saw he was asking for a trade. Just probably. And it was just probably because I’m pretty well aware that if you keep those two picks, you can build the team in a different way.
Texans could have signed him for cheaper than they are paying DJ lmaooo. And they would have kept Hopkins.
Bills reportedly talking to Melvin Gordon... you’d assume they are going to call Gurley. That would be bad news. Also Gurley/Michel/White is something I’d hate equally as much if not more.
I think it’s more that they don’t want to pay $10 mil for a guy that has knee issues. Especially when the replacement was just as good. He’s going to end up in a timeshare somewhere and be very good. Hopefully not our division but I can see him landing with any of the other three teams that aren’t us.
In Los Angeles it’s been the topic of discussion and expected. the Rams cap is in bad shape and he’s not worth his contract.
Giving themselves a 20m cap hit as well, 2 years ago he got 40m guaranteed. He had a downturn season 857yards and 14 TD's with over a 1000yrds combined. Sigh I wish we had a downturn RB like that last season.
The Jags probably. Depends on his contract in all honesty. $13-$15 million is what you want to say. Rarely are contracts higher ever worth it.
Brandon Cooks only 26 of the Rams, now made available for trade. I hope JD jumps all over it giving Darnold an explosive receiver heading into the draft as long as not a 1st or 2nd.
So almost no cap space, still no 1st rd picks this year or next, Gurley gone, Cooks on the trading block? I mean, we knew the Rams were screwed long term, but it's amazing how quickly the window slammed shut.
Tempting, but I pass. Our pass rush was okay, and as much as I want a stud pass rusher, we need to address the OL and WR even more. That said, it might be possible to achieve that end AND get Ngakoue, and I would be happy, but it seems like too big a risk. I do trust Douglas though and if he went for it I'd have to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Well. Um. The Rams had a much better offensive line. Not really that hard to understand. Gurley would have gotten half that production behind a Jets O-Line.
Going all in will do that. If Goff was merely competent in last year's Super Bowl, they would've gotten a title out of it.
