He does want a new contract, and is said to wanting $20 million or more per season in his new deal. There's no way I'd ever agree to paying him that kind of money at age 33 (which is what he'll be in July 2021 before the 2021 season begins).
Cimini with a nice article about joe, with some insight from Ozzie newsome https://www.espn.com/blog/new-york-...oe-douglas-to-put-his-ozzie-education-to-work
Any Thoughts? https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28898729/bengals-end-tumultuous-relationship-lt-cordy-glenn
Seems to me like he got paid and got lazy. Kinda like Trumaine Johnson. Not sure we should go that route. When he was in buffalo he was very good. Sad that when you get a big deal you lay down.
The only way I'd even consider Glenn is if he was willing to sign an incentive-laden deal. With the problems the Jets had with injured players last season, and his coming off of injury issues with the Bengals, I don't think he'd even consider signing with the Jets, especially in incentive-laden deal.
. It was just a concussion situation. My problem with him though is that he hasn't played at the same level since he went to Cincinnati and got paid. He could still play ok but he could lay down. I don't want to invest big money in another player that doesn't play with his heart. I want players like Jamal Adams that want to be here and make the most of every play. Same reason I don't want Clowney here.
