nice enthusiasm.check the grammar and spelling though. I think Paytons getting it, but who cares. No doubt we have ourselves a coach that is going to give us a chance every year to compete

If the Jets finish 10-6, NOBODY should get the nod before Mangini. This was a team picked to win 4 games "or less" by the experts, not to mention a player rebellion that sports pundits were predicting.

Payton got the top draft pick(Bush) and one of the top FAs(Brees) and coaches in the NFC....

Mangini got a high draft pick and Kimo Von Olehffen was the top FA that was brought in recognizition wise and coaches in the AFC

Our boy will deserve it, but those jerks will just end up giving it to Payton. It doesn't matter though as we have the better coach in the long run

So was New Orleans, and they've won their division, revived a city, AND may get a 1st round bye.

It wouldn't be a snub for him to lose out to Payton. He's been fantastic. What about Schotty in SD? No one expected them to be THIS good with a rookie qb.

They benefited from having a 4th place finish getting Green Bay and San Fran...

And their division's 2nd best team is .500(Atl).....the AFC worst team has a record of 6-8(Mia), double the amount of wins that the worst team in the NFC South has, 3(TB)

This sucks but Patyon being in New Orleans gets the emotional votes. Mangini will be luck to be mentioned.

You can't go into a team's schedule to make a point when we have the schedule we have.

We played in a much tougher and competitive division and its not like the Saints had a tough schedule...they faced the NFC East.

Jets faced 3 potential playoff contenders(Jax, Ten and Indy) from the AFC South.

And the Saints faced three playoff teams from the NFC East. I understand the point you are trying to make here that Mangini deserves the COY honor but you can't use schedules to justify it.

AFC South dominated the NFC East this year... so the AFC South is the better division and is more competition.

NFC East vs the AFC South
    4-0 vs Houston
    1-3 vs Jacksonville(Washington won)
    1-3 vs Indy(Dallas won)
    1-3 vs Tenn(Dallas won)

Mangini never really left the COY picture. I think Brees has much more influence on the Saints on a game-to-game basis than Payton does, which is why he is Top 2 in the MVP race. The Jets would not be anywhere close to where they are today if it wasn't for Mangini...I can't say the same about the Saints

The Saints were also supposed to be in the cellar, and they don't even play in a working city.

I love the Jets and I normally irrationally support them in any award, but to give Mangini the coach of the year award instead of Payton would be reprehensible (unless New Orleans loses out and we win out.)

As a New Orleans resident, do you have the faintest clue what you are talking about?
