Don't you know? Even when guys come in right up the middle untouched before Chad can even finish a 3 step drop he's supposed to throw a 50 yard touchdown pass. That's what Peyton Manning does. That's what Tom Brady does.
OK - I get it now. Pennington has bad games against good defenses that: *Rush the passer well without blitzing or blitz well and *Have great secondaries that cover well when their team blitzes and *Don't play a zone-blitz and *Don't play on a wet grass field
I know you wont admit it, but your def gay for clemens......how exactly did he fall to pieces? he had a carreer day. Who gives a shit if he has to take a sack once or twice. Its usually from his blind side, and because of an o-lineman fuks up. Clemens would have gotten eatin alive today. But i guess you liked watching him run around like chicken with no head, gettin caught by the ankles by fat D-linemen...
You get to have the best run defense in the NFL when you cannot stop the pass and nobody sees any profit from doing anything on the ground but the odd token run to setup play-action. And who has the likely 30th ranked passing defense after today?
Did Chad rush for over 100 yards today too? Hey...you guys can defend Chad..thats cool with me. Anyone that feels Chad cant lead a team to the superbowl has enough ammo to carrry this thread for another year or two. When you play a team 10 times in your career and pull out an occasional victory like he did earlier against the Pats...its bound to happen. Why cant the guys that kill the Pennington bashers just understand that we...the bashers..like a QB that has some zip on the ball. Thats what this is all about. Have zip on the ball and you dont get 8 defenders in the box...which opens up the running game..even against good defenses. Its really not personal guys..its preferences..not personal.
Some stats are misleading. Going into today the Vikings had held opposing QBs to a QB rating of 70 and had allowed 13 TDs while intercepting 16 passes. Yards allowed don't tell the whole story. That sounds like a pretty good pass defense to me. They give up yards because nobody can run on them, so teams revert to the pass. Minnesota has the most pass attempts against in the NFL, which explains the yards.
